Egga

You guys didnt miss anything the movies dont really give context to these transformations like the anime

Egga

bog movie is pretty good but rof movie has wayyyy less scenes and context then the anime

Purple Hearts

Do you enjoy slice of life moments and the personal relationship between characters? Then please watch episodes 1, 2, 15 - 18 of the DB Super Anime!!! I know you'll both love them!

Sir_Deathstroke

Yea i don't know why people always tell reactors to watch the movie instead of the anime episodes. The show gives more context and details than this movie and is better paced. This movie's pacing was bad

To be honest, for whatever small benefits the Resurrection F anime adaptation in Super has, its a complete mess top to bottom. The animation is barely finished in many places as a result of the schedule, the music placement is god awful in parts, the pacing is a hot ass mess, etc.

The movie skips alot of things like captain Ginyu return, the moment in training Vegeta and Goku felt the God energy and a few other things

To keep things simple, in the first movie Beerus stated towards the end that Goku's body adapted to the Divine power. Which is why he was able to keep fighting Beerus even though his red hair disappeared. Goku's blue hair is him applying super saiyan on top of the red hair form. To put things in order: SS1>SS2>SS3(long hair)>God Form(red hair)>God Form SS1(Blue hair). Hope that helps. Vegeta also has the red hair form, he just did his training with Whis offscreen

Honestly. Probably my least favorite modern dragon ball movie. A couple cute moments here and there though. But yeah, the anime version is literally just this stretched across 9 episodes with incredibly bad animation.

Taryn Holdipp

Let them go through the same arc we did when these movies came out

Jordan Ntuk

the animation is terrible during the show version and it completely makes anyone watching lose immersion

MahBawlzItch

the movie skips alot of parts that i personally think they shouldve had in the movie, like gohan 1v1 with captain ginyu inside of tagomas body and having to power up to his limit by himself and almost dying because of it just to let goku sense his energy and Instant transmission, also alot of music was peak in the anime like golden frieza theme and SSJB themes

I guess what everyone forgot to mention to you two is that it's true the two movies do come out before Super. The animation of the first couple episodes are really bad. During the time DBS is airing, Toriyama was involved, but not that involved. Toryama really didn't explain Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan for real. The movie explaination is what we got. The anime kinda shows you how they got it, but it's actually filler. Toriyama left basically cliff notes for each arc in Super. The guy who writes the Super Manga and the anime team just basically filled in the blanks. Sometimes they would go to Toriyama and get his opinion or approval of things. Once the arc ended and before the new arc began, they would share some of the stuff Toriyama told them. DBS continuity isn't like the traditional anime.
