FOLLOW UP DAY!!!! As always, there's more music than I have time for! What a wonderful problem to have hahaha. ANYWAY, definitely some great moments this week. Please, please, please share your thoughts on these in the comments - I love having these conversations with y'all!

(On that note, next week I might try to use the Patreon livestream function to attempt doing these follow ups live... I haven't tried before, but might be an easier way to get this up for patrons and then anyone who is available can join me to chat in real time.)

This week's takeaways:

aespaaaaaaaa is aespa! They look amazing in this live performance - they've just gotten more and more charismatic as the years have gone by and now they're stepping into this new era with a FIERCENESS that I'm living for. I might try to do a behind-the-scenes for this recording studio later this week.

I. NEED. TO. GET. INTO. BILLLIE! Why are they soooooo good?! I already knew the music and vocals were exceptional, but this performance quality?! They are overwhemingly talented and I don't even know where to start. I think they might be the next girl group to get a Deep Dive, tbh. I can tell that I'm missing out.

Oh no. Oh no. I'm even more overwhelmed now. 82MAJOR won me over with songs and dance ability when I first watched them, but now I'm hearing vocals and also THIS STAR QUALITY?! Why didn't anyone tell me about this BLACKPINK cover before?!?!?!?!?!?! Maybe you did and I wasn't listening; I'm sorry. This has changed my life. Best cover of any song I've ever heard an idol group do. EVER.

NiziU is so much fun! This is a solid k-pop song and it makes me happy.

Ayumu Imazu 😍 I high-key think he might be my favourite artist I've reacted to here. His dance ability & stage presence are ELITE, and it just stresses me out even more knowing he's writing these songs, creating this choreography, directing his own videos, etc. Too much talent for one human being.

no na took an already great song and stepped it up even more!!! To be able to elevate a song by removing choreography and stage production is an incredible task, but they absolutely did that here. ATE.

Ha Hyun Sang's song is so prettyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Without really doing anything too much, it just makes me cry because it's so simple and pretty! I need to hear more of him.

'Girls Never Die' miiiiiiiight be my favourite song I've heard from tripleS so far... and I've liked every single song I've heard! It's also just watching them perform. Somehow, there are 24 individual idols all giving Main Character Energy together and it works!

Ayumu Imazu is really my favorite discovery of the year, sure I am a sucker for this jazzy funky music. Regarding no na‘s first take. I rate this higher then shoot. I think people underestimate the challenge to make a reggaeton song without all that instrumental melodies and just driving beat not feeling flat in an environment like the first take.

This WDA version without GD is better tbh 😅 sorry not sorry. Billie's whole new album is very nice, I don't know them that well but this cb is pretty solid.

He's too good, I can't really understand how he does everything! He has such a music knowledge that not every artist out there has. I hope to see him in Europe one day.

Girls never die is really that song! first 24 members comeback. The fact that you remembered a handful of names is already something haha you will see in no time you will get all their names down lol The thing is for the performance, some of those members only have 2-3sec in the spotlight so they have to shine the brightest otherwise they will never be seen in the 24 members songs. But for sure they have to be in tune with eachother's energy and presence! Their albums are amazing as well, at some point once we tackled all the title tracks (which is almost done), i will request some bsides :)

He definitely is one of my favourites that we've listened to for sure! He's soooooo talented and the music/choreography is exactly my style. And with no na, I agree - their vocal performance adds all the colour and flavour and style that you'd normally get from the production and that is incredible. Not everyone can pull off a song like this, but they DEVOURED!

Hahaha I KEEP FORGETTING HE'S ON THE TRACK!!! I didn't even notice his verse was missing. Hahahaha. I hope to listen to more of Billlie with this comeback. They're really strong

Girls Never Die is soooooo good! That's such a great look and sound to introduce the world to the full group! And yes, this is the case when you have such a huge lineup, you really are only going to get one or two lines each (except the top spots) so you gotta make it count. It's exactly what we see in every survival show when they're doing the earliest missions - only the main vocal or main dancer will have a lot of lines, everyone else has to try to get those votes in the 4 seconds of screentime they get hahahahaha. They all look super fierce together as a group, too.
