As soon as i get the Mail im opening patreon my god im hooked

Devi's advocate real quick. Responding to the beginning conversation imo tommy is betraying arthur by pushing him to do sniff sniff for his own benefit. Id say the main reason youd consider grace to be worse is because shes not the protagonist. Psychologically its easier to root for a protagonist even when theyre doing something horrible. My guess is because you get to understand their thought patterns. And i think if the story was about grace and you were given her entire like thoughts and actions you wouldnt be disagreeing as much as now. Also, id like to clarify by you i dont mean you guys specifically i mean the audience in general as i do feel the same way as yall i just over analyzed this for some reason lol. Yall have a blessed day🙏

Kudu_22

I haven’t vocalised it before so I’ll say it now, the high level of earnest engagement you give to everything you react to is the number one reason you guys are by far my favourite reactors

Klaus

I think the thing lizzie said to john "i dont see the same thing in your eyes as i do with tommy", i dont think thats to do with john being ruthless and willing to fight for his cause. I think its more a thing of lizzie thinks tommy is willing to put his own people at risk to get what he wants. In this season alone, arthur was lifted, the volunteer got killed in jail, michael was beaten up, polly was sexually exploited, and then lizzie was raped, whilst tommy gets away scot free (to their knowledge). Maybe john doesnt have that cynical edge to him to risk others' wellbeing for the welfare of business

I do think Grace is more at fault in the question of her cheating - Tommy didn't make an oath to anyone, its immoral that he's willingly sleeping with a married woman but he isn't the one breaking vows, that falls solely on Grace here. Though zooming out and just looking at them as people, Tommy is objectively the worse person as a murdering criminal haha (people get too deep into debating that, but i think Tommy's little chat with the bartender at the end of season 1 encapsulates it perfectly - "You're bad men, but your our bad men". We root for our main characters and their interests regardless of whether it's justified in reality, as with countless shows/movies)

Jonathon Tindle

How many times did Wesley say Visceral or a version of it? Lost count at the beginning haha

kinetic98

no way mr churchill has been a peaky blinder all along

TThxlxnge

Some of the music was specifically made for the show, but some of the songs like Arabella by Arctic monkeys (one of my favorite uk bands) in the beginning of the episode are just cult classics in the uk. If you like Arabella you’d probably like the whole AM album by the arctic monkeys. The arctic monkeys also made songs specifically for the show too

TThxlxnge

After this season, without trying to give away too much, but it turns into like GOT, in the sense that, at times it feels like any “main character” could die

Zak

irish factions: IRA, fenian and republicans = catholic Irish nationalists. Ulsterman, loyalists, unionists = protestant pro-British Irishmen. The catholic irish nationalists are split into pro and anti treaty groups (peace treaty with the UK)

Absolutely love Steph trying to be diplomatic on Grace 😂 (key word 'trying'). I agree Grace is the worst Steph your feelings are 100% valid.

Thinkace

idk where the brain cells went there they didnt do anything to grace other than cheating on her husband thats it hahahahha like come on let the girl have fun so what just because she cheated and yall on 90 years relationship all i hear is bias xD god damn

Gabby

I think what Lizzie said to John about not having the same look in his eyes and being different to Tommy wasn’t about him being softer, I think it was more about John having a good heart and caring for people. He isn’t willing to put anyone he cares about on the line or hurt anyone that he loves for business or money, I think out of all of the brothers John is very loyal, just also very ruthless lmao

Sabbie

I really appreciate you guys explaining your reaction to Grace - that actually did make a lot of sense! Makes me understand so much better where you were coming from. I don't share your feelings, but I can definitely see why those things won't sit right with you given your values. I also want to say - feel free to hate Grace lol! Don't let us deter you. I love your genuine reactions even when I don't agree on an opinion. It's very interesting to get a completely different perspective on morally complicated questions, especially when you explain your point of view like this. This show is going to keep making all of us question our morality and that's exactly what makes it so good. And your thoughtful commentary and perspective is exactly what makes your reactions so good!

Wes And Steph

Adultery/cheating destroys families, ruins trust, destroys finances, and causes lasting trauma to children. It’s been normalized in media but I’ll just never be able to support it

Thinkace

It's not supporting now that u know all that put ur self back to 19s where someone can yell cheater and no one can prove or deny it that's the idea of the show anything u take irl literally u just broke the show universe and now we just watch u guys complain about day to day problems than the ACTUAL SHOW

Wes And Steph

People have been caught in adulterous affairs with devastating consequences for all of human history.

Wes And Steph

But I also totally understand if you’re not here for the moral discussions.

Thinkace

so killing ppl and fking random girls is fine as long as its arthur cuz we love arthur ayy ??? just watch the video watch how STEPH mkae those weird ass angry stupid faces the entire fking time when grace is just in the screen its just diabolical as if grace fkes wes right infront of her but killing and removing father figure from kids is fine cuz its arthur and the boys doing it lit the pub on fire and have fun with liquire and TOKYO baby hahahha all im saying there IS NO MORAL SUPPOSE TO BE FROM OUR SIDE TO THE SHOW enjoy the damn fking show than trying to give us advices when u IGNORE ALL OF THE BAD THIGNS FOR A WHOLE SEASON AND A HALF just cuz poor grace enjoyed 2 dicks and maybe more god damnit but ayyy killing is fine hahahhahahaha stupid sht always happen with blond ppl

Heather

Um, i disagree as well but get therapy

Andrew

People get so heated over different opinions lol. Ofc we are bias toward the main characters. I hope all the comments didn't get to you guys. Betrayal is awful. She should have left her husband if she wasn't happy with him. When wes said grace should die I was like woah but I think he was just upset lmao

Latkat

Fully agree with this!

V

Grace is married, Tommy isn’t. Grace cheating on her husband is worse than Tommy at that moment

V

It’s ok to have bias in a show of fictional characters

Michael H

“I view her as a human speed bump” is maybe the best thing I’ve ever heard 😂

Michael H

Guys, in no way did Esme suggest running off with Tommy. She was doing what she has done in the past: try to get Tommy off his track of world domination in order to protect John

Daniel S

No need to explain or go back on your opinions just because the modern world wants us to think cheating is ok as long as some criteria are met. I agree the cheating was devious and I’m not a fan of hers either. Tommy forgiving her when graces snitching directly led to dannys death and freddies imprisonment is crazy

Michael H

For as thoughtful and chill as these reactors are, they have a few seriously disturbed individuals in their Patreon.

Michael H

Oh, man, I feel like I’ve forgotten about the Arctic Monkeys for the last fifteen years!! They were one of my go-to bands back in the day. Time to revisit—I appreciate the reminder!
