Yeah the guys who took beomseok clubbing with them are from his school, the two that you recognise are the bully guys in his class who were harassing sieun

That was the turning point of my perception of the series: before it was pretty standard (but still good) TV series about school boys getting caught with bullies and gang members, but now it got to another, much higher (dramatically) level. Writing is that great that it brings questions on tough and uncomfortable topics we rarely see being put in this way in media. The way Beom-seok's fall into escapism (with all of its bad influence) portrayed here is painfully accurate depiction of behavior from a victim of bullying and parental abuse. I really can't remember the last time when I've seen such deep depiction of a victimized teenager's state of mind as WH presented. BTW, this episode rated lower than previous four on IMDb and the reason (besides the fact that people like to watch more action oriented things and rooting for the underdogs against bullies and gangsters), I suspect, is that this profound portrait of mental state of an abuse victim hit home too close, so viewers may have distanced themselves from absorbing it. If you realise that what happened to Beom-seok has became a norm in the society and thousands of such shy teenagers in the world go through it in real life... yeah, it's devastating. But watching TV series is easier than actually being abused or dealing with abuse victim (which is a very nuanced behavior on so many levels and people should pay attention to their relatives/friends and recognise the signs of it). Weak Hero doing a good job of presenting an old problem which probably never will get resolved (as long as humanity exists), but at least it gives us a better understanding of the issue.

One thing that you'll commonly see in dramas with high school setting is that they generally show school rivelries, when it comes to school gangs. i'm not sure how true is this in reality but you'll see many of them defending their school peers from other schools even if they are not in good terms. here you'll see the lackies recognise beom seok and defended him even with the history between them. they just don't want kids from other school to mess with kids from their school. like 'only i can bully kids from my school, you can't'. well, this is just how i interpreted that scene.
