This documentary is showing what they have done for every album. We just hear from the members how they always do their albums and song camps back then. Plus, when do they not try something new in there songs and swim almost didn't become the lead single.

It was a beautiful documentary but i agree, i also wanted more, I wanted it to be less arty and more focused on the work and them recording or even just them talking together. we probably could have done without the dogers part since we already can see that on youtube, i thought it was a strange choice. it was good overall but we actually got more information about the process and their thoughts from the Studio Notes live they did, just casually talking about it, and they seemed to be under the impression that more things in the recording booth and in california were filmed so i'm really wondering if we will end up also getting a Hybe or Weverse documentary series or the behind the scenes youtube videos like they used to do (episodes or bangtan bombs) at some point! i saw someone online saying that maybe they couldn't use as much footage as they'd expected because there was probably a lot of copyright to take care of when working with a lot of writers and producers on unfinished songs and as they filmed the netflix doc, the director said he didn't know which songs would make it into the album. they actually ended up working on around 100 songs and narrowing them down, so i think that's why they focused so much on Swim and Body to Body because those were some they knew pretty early on they would use. anyway, it was fun to watch with you! they are back! I recommend watching the Studio Notes video livestreem they did the night of the album release, and the Swim Pool Version video!

I never get enough of your commentary, it's always so on point because, as someone said int he comments, you have such a good grasp on the boys as people and as artist. I feel like the documentary couldve covered more on the production part, especially on the technical stuff. Maybe more insight on the members' thought process for each songs too.. but I guess we kinda got that in their "Studio Notes" live. I hope we'll get to see your reaction to that as well, it was very interesting to hear the honest opinion of the boys lol. This is where you will get some kind of closure on wether the guys were satisfied with the final outcome 👀

Also, I think we don’t see much of the production overall because the documentary starts when Jin arrives, and by then they already had most of it done. Maybe they’ll release a behind-the-scenes or even a full documentary series, I’m not sure, but I really hope so 🙏

lol 😭 Steph you’re only half vindicated because on the album body to body is definitely the longer arirang version not the shorter version. they decided to take the risk and it paid off 100%

Also, if you have time you can check out this video that explains the members' concerns about using Arirang in the song as a Korean. I also agree, you need to watch their Studio Notes livestream and the Swim Pool Version! Those are so good. You get more information about the album writing process from the Studio Notes than you do from the documentary.

hi wes and steph!! i’m glad to be back on your patreon!! i would say that the amount of stress the members were facing was dependent on their personality rather than the amount of workload. i think they all were EXTREMELY involved in writing and the creation of the project; the members even said that there were 120 songs that they made in total during their time spent in LA. all those songs weren’t just made by RM and suga, but all the members played a huge role. j-hope is often overlooked but he has TONS of writing credits like RM and suga, but i think he has a different method of managing his stress or knows how to balance between feeling stressed but not letting the stress take over you

As a Korean, I’m proud that the biggest band decided to showcase Arirang to the world and teach the stories of pain and overcoming adversity in our history. I’ve seen several Korean reactors get very emotional when they hear Arirang in Body to Body so I’m so glad they ultimately went with that. Hope yall will get to their content on Epik High’s channel. Epik High is a hip hop group that heavily influenced RM and Suga. When you eventually get to it, the three members are Tablo (the guy across RM, who also had a song with RM last year I believe), DJ Tukutz (guy across Suga), and Mithra (the guy cooking lol). There’s some references they talk about that would be confusing to those who don’t know, but one is that they’ll talk about is Tajinyo which is a scandal/witchhunt that Tablo went through a while back when he was accused of faking his education at Stanford (it’s a wild story), and they’ll talk about the crying tree which is where Tablo shot a documentary 15 years ago at Stanford and he cried next to a tree. Also they’ll say something about his wife driving whilst pregnant which can be seen very negatively, but there is more to it and it’s related to the scandal. ANYWAYS… Just wanted to throw a tiny bit of context since I know yall would be out the loop at those parts lol

RM, Suga and Jhope write their own raps. Its why the rappers have so much writing credits. As a rapper its essentially you write you own raps otherwise in the community, you would not be called a rapper. This is still not that prevalent in idol music.

exactly they are all true rappers!! a lot of people tend to only bring up RM and suga when it comes to writing since they came from an underground rap background, but they tend to forget that j-hope also follows those same values as a true rapper and writes his work!! the rapline is very commendable and it’s a huge reason why they are not just seen as “k-pop rappers”

Its cool cause its a part of the fridge but then theres that small little door u put stuff there u would usually grab most of the time so they put milk and like butter there for easy access
