The transforming girl wasn't talking about a quirk when she was saying she hides her presence. She just uses misdirection to make people lose sight of her to hide and sneak up on someone. It's like what magicians in real life do to pull off some of their tricks.

Thanks for the reactions! Excited we’re getting a Bakugo fight with Eraserhead hyping up his presence in the class!

Try to watch the intros for the past few seasons if you can, they are peak. Also, there aren't any spoilers in the new one either

19:08 "She and Toga need to go fight in a room over Deku," 😂

Going from rewatching the Aot finale with you guys to watching this is a crazy whiplash 🤣

NoSoupRice

So there's a guy with a quirk that makes things harder, one that makes things bigger, and one that makes things vibrate. What did they mean by this? 🤔

Billbob

Quirks like that enlarging items one that both of you pointed out as a great get rich quick scheme really makes me wonder how much Horikoshi is bothered by just how doomed the economy in his universe is. Because he definitely is aware of the concerns since he had Momo explicitly mention preferring to buy things than create as to not ruin the economy but with how random the quirks can be theres just too many people that can flood the markets using their quirks. Its as if they live in a post-scarcity era but only a random collection of people can be the ultimate providers enabling that. Inequality abound both physically and materially

Actually sonic weapons for military use have existed for at least like a decade, there's footage all over of them. They realistically aren't that effective in the current era of drone strikes tho.

Personally, I think the Mahito meat-puppets quirk is one of the most disturbing in the show, *especially* since (as you guys pointed out) they seem to be conscious while they're like that. On an unrelated note, I also hated Mahito and had a really hard time watching JJK.

Anyone else laughing evilly about the joke Wes made about certain folk duking it out? Also guys.. please.. all the balls Commentary at the end about Mineta 🤣 I can't handle it. I have the brain of a 15 yr old boy

Ditto. I liked JJK until Mahito. When the big fight with him happened, my cousin forced me to sit through it because body horror is my one weakness in horror. Can handle ANYTHING else, but warping bodies? 😭 (Parasyte was tough but the story so good it's one of my favs so I don't count that. Migi got kinda cute after a while)

Speaking from purely what I learned in science and theory with 0 actual knowledge so do correct me if I'm wrong.. I think the theory of weaponizing sonic waves is a few things. 1. There is a very high pitched frequency that can't be heard but felt, causing ear-aches that makes people think they have ear infections. It used to be on those old box tvs. And fun fact about that, people with autism can often hear these frequencies from outlets or new tvs. I changed out a new TV for a different brand because listening to it made me nauseous. 2. Our equilibrium and ability to form coherent thoughts is impacted by the vibration of the little bone near the eardrum and the fluid in there. Motion sickness is literally caused by that whole thing in your ear and how it interacts with your vision. So it makes sense then, that if something fucks with the vibrations in your ear, you would experience debilitating headache, nausea, fatigue, all the stuff you get with sea-sickness. 3. Anything above a certain decibal leaves permanent, lasting ear damage that gets progressively worse, which at some point becomes a huge problem. Insomnia, nausea, migraines, balance issues. For all my father's faults, the one thing I pity him for is his crippling tinnitus from being in the military. He has to drink to self-soothe because it apparently tortures him. As someone with CPTSD and auditory processing disorders, I hear things that aren't happening sometimes, and if my tinnitus got worse and made it so I always hear things? I'd probably off myself from going crazy because they do this to torture people (they play broken records or repeated pangy sounds) 4. With a frequency powerful enough, you can shatter someone's eardrum (what happened to my father. Someone fired off a gun next to his unprotected ear in the helicopter bay where the sound reverberated and there was noise already from testing the copters. Apparently there's a way to test what this looks like using a drum, an amp, and a vibration machine from what I remember of my 5th grade science class) So with all those thoughts combined, I'd say that ya, sonic weapons would be powerful weapons used in the right setting. Humans often forget how much we rely on sound waves to navigate, speak, balance, and the bits in our ears that do all this are tiny fragile little things that suffer damage so easily, you could bump it with a q-tip and fois-la, ear damage. Tinnitus is no joke either. Used to go to concerts without ear protection and now I live with Motion sickness I never had before, migraines, insomnia, all the stuff I mentioned before. So protect your ears! They say sitting in a car and turning the music up loud enough to have to raise your voices to speak over it is enough to leave lasting damage.. dunno how this turned into a PSA but oh well lol point is, yes, sonic boom might kill people (from suicide) nobody's head will explode I think, but your ear drum can pop from what I know and you'd be surprised how crippling noise is. Anyone who's autistic and goes to the airport or Walmart before they implemented the sound breaks, will understand what I mean. Put a crying baby next to me is the equivalent of putting a magnet on a computer lol all systems start malfunctioning
