Here's what I think: Runner was an accident, Hikarus interest in akane is solely because of his wanting to kill stars, and Akane probably planned to just stab him the moment he opened the door like the Stalker did to Ai I don't think Hikaru has any special interest in Aqua either, I'm not sure how he would know Aqua is targeting him

I loved that scene at the end. Especially with Aqua telling her over and over not to put herself in harms way and that he would never take her to hell and Akane lamenting having failed to save him. I think it is very obvious that they love each other and wants to save the other from the curse of "having to dig two graves" when it comes to revenge. But ultimately, Aqua wins out because he is willing to hurt Akane to protect her.

Man this show plays me so hard lol I freaking KNEW this was the yandere path and it would lead to Aqua no longer being with Akane, but I'm glad it worked out in the way it did vs what the set-up was. I predicted for sure she was going to the dude all Yandere, and probably get killed, exactly what was lined up lol it's so fun and so painful at the same time, I don't even know what to do with this show 😩

Ya I thought his pose was too apologetic even when we were meant to believe he tried to kill her. The show was totally setting us up, like dangling a carrot on a stick with how these things usually go "she's gonna go confront the killer while imagining her future, but oh no she's killed on the way and ignites Aqua's revenge arc.....syke!" Vibes lol I felt so played because I fully was waiting for that plot
