I think the reason Fate/Zero feels so short is because the dialogue / writing is gripping but in terms of narrative pacing it's quite slow. If you had to summarize this episode, it would be the Saber & Lancer clash with various characters commenting on it. And that's it. So while you're honed in because it's gripping (and because of that time moves faster) once the episode ends you're confused at how "little" has happened in terms of the narrative.

2 episodes a week would be great, perhaps consider doing that with Dr. Stone as well, there's a ton of that show to go through, so that would help catch you up with the latest season that just started airing. That your reacting to both of these shows at the same time makes for a pretty good combo, Fate can get pretty dark, like Attack On Titan, but Dr. Stone is a very upbeat and positive show, so they will balance each other out.

I dont know. 1 episode a week is a years worth of content. zero is 24 weeks, ubw is 24 weeks then heaven's fell is 3 weeks total 51 weeks.

Genuinely you guys have THE best reaction to this anime that i've ever seen among all the creators i've watched do a reaction to it, so 1 a week feels like TORTURE. Seeing the notification that a new fate episode dropped is my weekly dose of raw happiness. pls pls pls let it happen.

It would be great to have two episodes a week, but maybe it could be based on what episodes go well together since episodes 18-19 are like a two parter and if they were to start with it next week then they'd be split up.

I think in part it's because fate zero is only 4 volumes long. Rezero season 1 covers 7 ln volumes whereas this covers 4 despite both shows being the same length.

umm just putting it out here , ubw and heaven feel is pretty much a mandatory to watch after you finish fate 0 , both of them translate to about 35 anime episode plus fate zero here of 25 ep , SO this whole thing is pretty much a 60 episode deal , is that enough to justify a 2ep per week OwO

The episodes really do feel shockingly quick, so no complaints here if you switch to two episodes. But then again, I'm definitely biased. I've been waiting for a reaction channel I like to cover Fate for quite a while.

Least we forget about the one with loli lesbians kissing... Original Stay Night was already voted to be skipped. The Grand Order and Extra anime are confusing if you haven't already played the games. Apocrypha is decent but gets little love, and some others are too obscure the get traction I fear. I have a feeling Strange Fake is the only one with a good chance to see the light of day besides the mainline

Since you brought up Achilles, hes a good example of why its so important to keep your Servant's identity a secret and why Saber hides her sword. Imagine if you KNEW your opponent was Achilles. "Easy Win, everyone on earth knows ACHILLES'S weakness", its a total disadvantage for all servants for their lore to be known. Everyone who sees Excalibur knows what it is, and who she is.

It's funny but kinda smart how they justified nerfing Saber here*. She was totally outsmarted by lancer, everything that could go wrong for her went wrong. She did exactly what she shouldn't have done. * for those who know fate stay night (thus a spoil, if you only know zero go away): I would even argue that nerfing saber is a constant priority and headache for the writers in the fate saga. Otherwise she would often win too easily except against people like Gilgamesh. Wether it's Shirou being the worst possible master in terms of mana, or here Lancer trapping her, she's always in horrible situations lol.

There is also Fate Grand Order, Fate strange fake, fate apocrypha, The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II, and many-many more that they can enjoy. Also outside fate series there is also kara no kyoukai which is also great

In fsn I'd say it's less about trying to nerf saber and more about creating a level of hypocrisy with shirou's actions. He states that he doesn't want her to fight since she will get hurt, even though its kinda his fault that she's weakened. He tries to protect her instead despite being far weaker than even her weakened state.

Agreed! Maybe after Oshi no Ko (which is also almost finished), they could do double releases for both Fate and Dr. Stone, since both series are pretty long.

That moment got me thinking as well. Assassin is even sitting higher up, so his field of vision should be better. I don’t know if it’s intentional or something we don’t know yet but it’s kinda lame if he got spotted without noticing Kiritsugu, especially since he’s supposed to be good at sneaking around and observing others, lol.

Finally had the time to catch up on Fate and I like it a lot so far! The story and characters are both really great and interesting. From the short fights we have seen so far, the animation already looks amazing and is probably just a taste of what is to come. I couldn’t agree more about how short the episodes feel! Double drops would be great and while we are at it, maybe do the same for Dr. Stone if possible :)

I think we all have better stuff to do, but just an advice get used to people spoiling if they warn about a spoiler being in their post. It's reasonable. And no sane person unaware of F/sn has read that part.

I'm at 20:47 and want to make a prediction! So last time I was saying he seems like a Dragoon. Well I saw the elder futhark on his spear! So who is the dragon killer of Norse legend? Siggard or Beowulf so those are my guesses for who he is. 😎 let's see how right or wrong I am lol (hopefully by the end of this ep or I'll cry) Edit: I was off but not as off as I thought I'd be lol but ya, he's a legendary figure from Celtic/Irish folklore. Basically he was so charming and beautiful (mainly for the beauty mark under his eye) that he charmed the fiance from another man and it ended in conflict. Which explains the "cursed by handsomeness" comment 😂
