W one piece

NoSoupRice

8:45 whoever "pitched" it. hah.

Hayate

Baroque Works is the first real threat, every crew member is getting their difficult fight it seems. Maybe we'll get to see un-nerfed Zorro struggle?

Nostalgino MO

Ussop is really resilient, 4ton is nothing compared to the 10000kg in little garden, 😂 also broken bones mean nothing in one piece

EddyTheMoza

I love the kung-fu dugongs

humphrey-t-humphrington

Is one piece planned for this friday still or is it delayed because of the make-up session?

Anthony

By the way season 4 of re zero is out

I read and enjoyed most of the Redwall books. My statement to you is: Oi loike ee molers en Red'all, an' iff'n yore say'n that ee cain't re'd uur wroit'n, we'uns nevur quoite gon'n see oiye ter oiye. 🤔

Renden

In all seriousness, I did also listen to the voice acted audiobook versions, and they do the accents and everything. Certainly helps to understand the moles talking 😅

Hey, I love your One Piece reactions. It's my alltime favorite series, so I wanted to suggest switching to One Piece instead of One Pace from the next arc. (or at least giving it a try). The biggest pacing issues in One Piece come much later. At this point in the story, most of what One Pace cuts out are the extra comedic and character moments that aren’t in the manga due to limited panels per chapter, but actually make the experience much more enjoyable. Since you only get to experience One Piece for the first time once, it might be worth seeing it in its fullest form. And if it really bothers you, you can always switch back. A big part of why One Piece is so popular is the humor, the crew dynamics, and how attached you get to the characters. One Pace focuses mostly on plot, but that means you miss a lot of the charm that makes the story special. It’s kind of like if Harry Potter cut out most of the humor and side elements just to focus on the main plot, like removing Quidditch entirely because it’s not “essential.” You’d still get the story, but it wouldn’t feel the same. Also, the next arc is very comedy heavy (arguably one of the funniest), and I think you’d really enjoy it in One Piece. Plus, you’d be missing out on iconic openings, endings, and eyecatchers that are a huge part of the experience. At least give the anime a shot for one arc. If it’s not your thing, you can always go back to One Pace 🙂

When Croc addressed luffy as "That puny rookie?" for a moment i read the subtitle as 'that pookie'

The comment Chaka said about vivi looking more beautiful is a mistranslation, which is why it seems odd. While it certainly can mean that, in context it’s clear he means that she has a good look on her face. He suggests a banquet with the straw hats because he attributes vivi’s newfound confidence to her time with the crew

We already had that debate when they started the anime; One Pace was the approach that best suited them, all factors considered.

Oden

If you weigh the pros and cons of watching one pace the pros always win as a diehard one piece fan I think one pace suits them better especially because they do a certain amount of episodes per week and doing the anime would be too much Yes one pace can rarely cut fairly important/funny stuff,However it cuts way more unnecessary stuff and tries to make the pacing as fast as possible

halastair

It's my first time watching One Piece too and people always saying that One Pace cut important stuff but I am also reading manga along side watching one pace with them and so far nothing important was cut from this version. Maybe later there will be more noticeable changes but so far it stays almost 1 to 1 to the manga.

mogeki

REDWALL MENTIONED!!!! I READ THAT SHIT INSTEAD OF HARRY POTTER OR PERCY JACKSON!!!

Gopal

Are you going to tell manga readers that they're missing out on random filler and they should watch the poorly paced anime instead of the manga just purely for that tiny amount of funny filler among the more vast amount of filler that's just poor pacing. Unless you're going to denounce the manga which is what the author actually wrote, you can't denounce Onepace.

Kret

Different species of mole do it it slightly different but for the most part they dig in a swimming motion compressing the soil to the sides making the tunnels quite unlikely to collapse some are more adapted to dryer soil and mix in saliva and mucus to make it easier to compact

obsa b

what factors? they did talk about watching one pace, but never really explained how they got there

obsa b

as I explained Oda wants to include much more moments into the manga, but hasn't got the space in the chapters to add them. He has explained this himself

obsa b

im not saying they're leaving out stuff in the manga, im saying that they're are moments that add to the show in the anime that they cut

obsa b

I know it stays 1 to 1 with the manga I said that myself, but they have cut out many of the funniest moments In the anime that I have looked forward to, such as luffy and zoro`s conversation in the bar at shells town or the luffy buggy scenes in lougetown as well as the eyechatchers. I do agree that one pace does a good job in cutting down the unnecessary padding, but most of that is later down the line. I get the pros and cons thing, but surely the best strategy is just to watch the original then decide if you think its dragged out and then change your mind?

RCG

Oda is a big part of why we’re getting the remake by Studio WIT and he’s apparently working very closely with them. The main goal is to tell the story with improved animation quality and much better pacing, so it seems even Oda would prefer a denser, more main-story-focused version. For W&S it’s just the more reasonable choice. Even One Pace has a massive episode count, let alone the original. And as others have said, I’d rather cut a few cool/funnny moments than go through ten times the amount of filler and flashbacks. Obviously, there was no set release date or anything but at this point, I would’ve even preferred it if they had waited for the remake to come out.

Nao

If I remember correctly, in Friday's episodes they mentioned that the remaining two episodes (these ones) would be uploaded between Monday and Tuesday, and the normal schedule of four episodes would resume on Friday. If they were to run out of time to record, which I doubt, they would announce it, but the next four episodes should be released on Friday

Nao

One thing I like about the setup for the Sanji vs. Mr. 2 fight is that, technically, Blon Clay became friends with the entire crew except for Sanji because he didn't know him, so I like the outcome of the fight and how it happened since there wasn't an excuse like "you're my friend, I can't fight you" or "I didn't fight with everything I had because we were friends" And I find it cuter that Bon Clay likes Sanji after the fight, and now considers him a friend

Gelondil

While you have replied to say you aren't proposing One Pace has cut out important stuff, your Quiddich analogy says just that. You more or less said by implication that One Pace is cutting stuff that "isn't relevant" like quiddich. It isn't. It's cutting only stuff that's "not canon". For better or worse, we WILL get our irrelevant One Piece quiddich in One Pace... A whole six episodes of it. (IYKYK ☹️) If you do the math, the amount of stuff saved in One Pace adds up to well over a YEAR of filler content. And I don't mean 52 episodes, I mean a whopping 300 episodes. Yes, it gets worse in Dressrosa and on, but it's still a good 5-8 minutes of stuff cut even on these faster pace episodes. Yes, sometimes they might cut a few anime-only sight-gags, but One Piece is plenty funny without those. Those few gags are not worth that much wasted time and skipping the filler means the Canon jokes come all that much sooner. W&S could use those 150 hours saved by watching an entire other comedy anime, and get more enjoyment for the time.

Renden

Same. To my parents, it was "clean enough," especially compared to the other alternatives

Gelondil

I believe they said at the end of last episode that they planned on being back on schedule this week with 4 new eps.

obsa b

how is quidditch important to the main story of Harry Potter? yes it`s in the books as well, but my point was that they cut out things that are iconic to one piece as a whole even though it only exists in the anime. ex g-8. I know one piece is far from perfect but I just feel as if you missed out on bonding moments with the crew which when you're watching 800 episodes you would look back an reminisce on those moments, as I said I have had like 7 moments of one piece I was looking forward for them to react to cut out by one pace and I was wondering where they disappeared to. I am a very big fan so I probably have watch around 20 different reactors all the way through one piece and so I have attachments to a lot of the comedy scenes earlier in the show

obsa b

with what part?

jom

These subs really suck, Mr. 2 is clearly saying Ballet kenpo not Okama kenpo. I wonder what else they must've gotten wrong.
