Man, I had forgotten the sheer extent to which Sakuta has a way with his words

Atlas Creation

little sister flinching at mai’s phone made me sad

its a combination of Sakuta being very much a people person so he knows how to talk to everyone ...and also the fact that most light novels have the characters talk like they are communication geniuses even when they probably shouldnt (I think it makes sense for Sakuta but im just saying)

Carlino McClain

The Shoko that Sakuta met at the beach was in her second year of high-school. The Shoko that Sakuta met now is in 7th grade.

This ep trios me up lol too many of my family member's names in one ep, plus Sakuta's apartment layout in the bathroom is almost identical to my aunt Shoko's mom's, but their home is a house so they had a big window by the bath. But the color of the wall, the bath, the position of it all, so weirdly similar 😂 but I do really like this concept of the two Futaba's existing and her theory why. It's a theory my cousin (at 9 yrs old btw lol) brought up with me when he was learning string theory. (He liked Big Bang Theory and was a little Sheldon) He actually really freaked me out for a while because he brought up Shrodinger's cat and the Philosophy around object permanence and how something exists if you percieve it. I forget who it was that talked about this, but it's where the concept of "if a tree falls in a forest but nobody hears it, did it really fall?" And also "perception is reality" originate from. Essentially, the argument is that if enough people percieve one thing, then it exists, regardless of tangible proof, so Unicorns exists, love exists, and God/Gods exist. As someone with ADHD and a severe lack of object permanence, some temporal blindness, and a touch of existential dread about whether I exist or not, he made me really think about how the past and present me are so completely different, that if one thing got altered, I might be a very different person, and that if other people percieve me in a way I no longer exist, am I me and is there another me in an alternate moment in time. It's such a trippy theory and line of thinking, and ya, if you believe that the other you lived a better life, then it does get sad really fast. Anyway, I completely forget what the answer to this problem is, but it's reminding me about that conversation with my cousin. We later had the same discussion in my Philosophy class too and it stirred up so much arguments lol

All I can say is: You're not frkn ready for Shoko's arc.

xD The theorizing around Shoko is fun to see.
