Another reason that witches don't draw with tools or templates is secrecy. Witches often have to cast spells covertly in the field. Any tools will make the truth much harder to conceal.

Yeah, the complexity of all of the symbols definitely makes it hard to rely much on templates but I would hope the more advanced witches would still make at least some sort of near-completed templates/stamps for spells they have in their palm quires that they keep at all times as quick/emergency essentials. Like imagine being Qifrey and using that extremely complex water dragon spell then going home like ah crap now I gotta draw that entire thing from scratch again.. Edit: also the other best dad for this odd family is here finally. Always love Olly and his vibes, not sure if I agree with the fujos shipping him with Qifrey but he's great

Regarding the two year old soup: Fun fact: there is actually a dish called the "eternal" or "perpetual" stew, where the broth is kept hot but the ingredients are served and then subsequently replaced ad nauseum, even up to (reportedly) hundreds of years. There are some places that still claim to do this. Obviously, the food does not retain its freshness through magic as per WHA, but I figured it was something you guys might like to hear.

I wonder if that's how their history of war went. With nations mass producing papers with incomplete spells so that the fighters finish drawing the incomplete circle to activate the spell.
