I don't know if anyone has mentioned this already, but this anime is full of hidden musical references in the names of its characters and other details. For example, Dio is a reference to Ronnie James Dio, the legendary singer of Dio and Black Sabbath. The subtitles may change the names of some characters to avoid copyright issues, but if you pay close attention, you'll probably spot even more musical references.

Get used to the muscular style. JoJo started in 1987, and the anime/manga aesthetic back then was heavily influenced by Fist of the North Star, everyone was a walking wall of muscle. But brace yourself, because Araki's art and writing change a lot over time. He's still drawing JoJo today, and if you put an early panel next to a recent one, it's night and day.

I love the fashion in JoJo’s. The Speedwagon hat with blades in it we saw this episode was so cool, iconic even. Also I feel like it always surprises people when they realize it’s a Vampire show. 😂

Im sorry but only one episode a week of jojo is sorta insane. Jojo's is a longer than average anime and would take 3 years at this pace. Jojo's needs 2-4 episodes a week at bare minimum.

Jojo op 1 is safe to watch by ep 5, and op 2 is safe by episode 21. I recommend watching the ops and endings cuz they are really unique. Once you reach op 4 it must be watched multiple times for reasons that I can't say

Honestly you won't know what this show is about for a long while. It's very hard to predict in a way, at least until everything is established. You can watch the ending btw.

don't skip intros in jojo, sometimes they change stuff depending on what is happening in the plot, it's quite neat

The vampire is a reference to how the author Araki seems to have not aged a single day in the past 30 freakin years. I wasn't born when he started writing/drawing Jojo and I look older than him today

Yes and yes. They could still pick something from the poll later on (they've done that in the past) but with Re:Zero coming back soon and Apothecary Diaries Season 3 releasing in October, it's probably not happening.

Idk, the intros do spoil enemies and allies/abilities a lot though. The occasional changes are neat but aside from the full intro reworks that happen usually for the last episode they probably would prefer to just wait for someone to give the usual "all clear" in regards to spoilers after several episodes

Might have noticed it from the few fights so far, but in jojos there is a pretty consistent rule that talking/thinking is basically a free action. So yeah dont be surprised that someone just starts giving a monologue while mid-fight or even mid-punch. It's common enough in anime in general but it goes beyond memeworthy at times in jojos Also I'm with steph, dad brought this on himself

Hey Wes and Steph! I think sadly my comment was missed last week, but I wanted to let you guys know, that there's really good fansubs for JoJo's! Please check them out! The fan subs are really important, because once you reach Part 3+, it will have censored subtitles since many things have names that reference old Band names, and they're usually censored with something else, instead of the actual Band name. These fan subs have it fixed, so there's no problem there! All uncensored! Also, Part 7 isn't included because Part 7 only has one episode, and you'll have a LONG time before you reach Part 7, so I'm hoping by the time you get there, Part 7 will be fully released, with proper fan subs, and I can send it to you then as well! Keep up the reactions! I love them! And I hope you use this! I really hope you see this comment before your next reaction, so you can start using the best subtitles immediately! Note: There's a folder called "Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan" which is a 4-episode optional OVA that is for a side character, and it takes place AFTER Part 4. Canon, but optional since its not in the main story since it's a side story, and I personally haven't watched it (lol). You can Say there is a whole subculture around Jojo-poses and aesthetics, there are songs and a Lot of videos on YT about them. Through the manga publication, the Author's art became so beautiful and Iconic that I think he is the only Mangaka to ever has his own exhibition on Louvre Musseum in Paris(don't know if there has been other mangaka innrecent year lol)

If you can figure out whats happening by watching the openings then you are analysing it like full on deep studie of them. they will be fine, also it's jojo, half the plot is ehh forgotten by the author himself
