My favourite animes on!

A Guy

It’s funny you guys may be the only reactors that didn’t get vehemently disappointed when they didn’t show anything about the night at the inn. It seems people have grown to have the same wavelength as the show 😂

Kindyh Bordat

The worldbuilding in this anime is absolutely insane. Sadly the Anime didn't add much details but even the disposition of the guest was explained. Noble and family in the front row, and since Sylphie is Elinalise granddaughters she was obligated to go on the front, and since Rudeus is her husband, he was allowed to go join her, and since Roxy is Rudeus was, she was allowed to go in with them. There where also details about their cloth and hairstyles and everything. It's so amazing.

Kindyh Bordat

Also Rudeus knew he wouldn't find anything interesting for his sisters in that market. He went there for Roxy, because he know she is very frugal and would never buy anything for herself. So he brought her there to see if anything interested her and buy it for her.

Kindyh Bordat

Also this episode was entirely made by another studio. That's why there are a lot of reused and still frame. (I'm not saying the episode is bad, it's still pretty good) That makes me so happy, it mean the future episodes are to be ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. (Also to respond to you guys, NO there are no subplot in MT, everything is important, even Zanoba and his dolls.)

Ryne

They didn't need to obtain the aphrodisiac because Rudeus already had it. It was what was used to cure his "condition" last season and he was given more as a wedding present. He just regifted it. Elinalise is already 300+ years older than Cliff, so she'll outlive him by many years. Her age and history comes up later, so that's all you need to know for now. There's quite a bit of cut content during this episode, but I'm just happy they didn't skip it. This volume was one of the more slice of life volumes of the series. And I can guarantee that you'll never predict the next turning point unless someone spoils it for you.

wyggles

One small detail I wish the anime included during the final scene. When Sylphie and Rudy gifted Roxy the hat Roxy had said it was the first time she truly felt like a part of the family. Of course Sylphie had been welcoming the whole time, but it wasn't until that moment that Roxy let go of the feeling she was imposing on their marriage and accepted that she was a part of it.

DocGreen

They rarely show much in terms of sex in mt anyways. Eris was the closest they got to showing anything. Although if you watch the blue Ray they definitely show Paul and zenith going at it

A Guy

In hindsight, that is the case yeah. I remember getting absolutely flash banged by that scene when I watched the Blu-ray version 😂.

A few things (non-spolier): Rudy officially gave Paul's sword to Norn at the end of the last season. He can't, and won't, take it from her. Plus he has no need for it, being a mage and all. The author really likes building things up early in the story for it to come back later (which is why I gave the recaps in the previous episodes). We will get more insight into why Sylphie's hair was green, and Zenith's condition eventually - the author is just slow rolling it. It's a shame that someone spoiled that Turning Point 4 is coming, but oh well. It will be a good one when it comes, I'm just interested to see how the anime do it. People often expect that Mushoku Tensei is an action show with slice-of-life but it's the other way around. The whole point of what the author was trying to do was to make Rudeus a better person in his new life, without punishing him for it. A lot of other stories have their characters change and redeem themselves by atoning for their past actions, often through suffering or remorse. The author challenges this by not having Rudeus explicitly right his wrongs from his past life, but instead do better in his new life - slowly. The main flaw Rudy had was that he was a degenerate shut-in. His change isn't shown through him being a bad-ass mage, it's shown by him having a family, being a functioning member of society, and expressing his high libido in a more respectful and consenting way. Ultimately, his underlying nature changes very little - he just expresses himself in a more honourable way. That's why the slice-of-life aspect is the main part of the show, not the action - at least in my opinon

GhostPhil

Honestly if that was another studio, then I wouldn't mind if they did the Slice of Life parts in this show. If nobody would've commented on it, I wouldn't know. Like a lot of the time style is more important than animation in my opinion and for me this episode looked incredible. And in terms of emotions, this was one of my favorite episodes of the Anime so far.

mimiyowa

ikr personally I wasn't expecting anything big but then I saw people like yaboyroshi for example saying that they built up that scene but we didn't see anything

mimiyowa

This has been a very slice of life-y type of volume, in terms of where the series is heading, I want to point out that we're around the half-way point in the Mushoku Tensei story and up until now, the first turning point basically had us explore all of the world (you can probably look up a world map right now.. although some people might think that the name of the world is spoilers). We got introduced to the regions (Asura, Millis, Great Forest), the cultures, a little bit of the history and a lot of characters that are also independant actors doing their own thing at the same time. My point is, in the novels, it's in these types of chapters where a lot of world building gets done. Here is why these people dressed like this, sit like this. Here is information about the Millis religion, etc etc. The anime could have chosen to skip over them to focus on a lot of the juicy stuff later on but they at least tried adapting it (by another studio, probably to save up on the budget for upcoming parts of the story.. which is insane, unpredictable, and I'm soooo so excited for it.)

Hayate

It's been some time since season 1. I forgot about the whole turning point thing so I looked it up. Seem like turning point 1 was the mass teleportation, 2 was the meeting with Orsted, 3 was receiving news about Zenith being trapped in the dungeon. I have not read the novel so I'm also very curious about the next turning point. I don't mind these slice of life episodes though. This one gave me a little tear at the end when Zenith started smiling.

DocGreen

Will it's definitely not an action show like frieren or vindland saga aren't an action shows. They are just generally fantasy/medieval shows but mt has the isekai element that makes it dive so much deeper than most fantasy or isekai shows. Only fate and maybe witch hat really compete with the lore and magic system of the world but without the slice of life aspects. And those shows are still "action shows"

DocGreen

Maybe on the bluray

This was the best episode of the season, so if it was another studio they were great. Sylphies twitching ears, the new hairstyles and clothes.... That was all great.

Rostislav

Just relax, guys—we're just watching the Grayrat family live their happy lives. Nothing bad is going to happen; I'm sure of it

Rostislav

Spoiler-free—just some thoughts based on what we’ve seen. You’ve rightly pointed out the uniqueness of Mushoku; this isn’t a heroic saga about slaying the Demon King. Rudeus even mentioned earlier that he has a family—why would he need to go anywhere and do something heroic? I don’t think this is a spoiler; you’ve probably already noticed this, but if not, it’ll be a topic to discuss. Here’s what we see in the three acts that practically correspond to the three seasons: 1. Rudeus finds himself in a new world; he’s literally a child. He fools around, gets into trouble, explores a world that’s new to him, has problems with his parents, struggles to make friends, and enters adolescence... 2. Rudeus is a teenager: awkward sexual experiences, first love, attempts at heroic deeds, self-discovery, the loss of loved ones, and growing up... 3. Rudelus is an adult; he has a large family, a home, and a settled life; he wants to raise children; he’s no longer drawn to heroic deeds; he’s even less willing to risk his life; he feels a sense of responsibility... So imagine what the author would have to do to push Rudelus further along the plot from this point in the story... I’ll add that the world of Mushoku is very detailed; Rudeus is just another inhabitant in it. Many plotlines unfold without his involvement, and the author likes to plant plot threads long before they come to a head (the closest analogy is *Attack on Titan*). I doubt you’ll recall elements from, say, the first or second season of Mushoku that seemed questionable or even like plot holes to you, but they lead to something critical in the fourth or fifth season.

Oh man i cant waitfot the negsta turning point soon! ;D

There is a thing called electrofishing, where a shock is applied to the water but the fish don’t die, they just get temporarily disoriented and go belly up. I’ve never done it though so take my word with some salt. Just saying that cause it could be that Rudeus didn’t kill ALL of those fish and just snagged a couple out and the rest went back to swimming.

Zachary Koogler

Wait I’m a dumbass today’s Tuesday lol

Billbob

Lol, idt Rudy minds how blunt Elinalise is with him about her thirstyness anymore considering the poor guy had to room next to her as she had the carousel come through every night while they traveled to Ranoa at the start of the ED arc

RCG

It’s already Friday here. Where are you that it’s still Tuesday? lol

Dragons like Bananas

Random lore : the wedding ceremony is essentially a reenactment of what Saint Millis did before heading to war/battle. "Before heading to certain death, Saint Millis gave an ornamental necklace to his most beloved who gave him a kiss on his forehead and wished for his return. When Saint Millis was in danger, his beloved one offered the necklace to God who was touched by the exquisite necklace and beloved's love and intervened to save Saint Millis."

Billbob

I would throw in Ascendance of a Bookworm for a strong contender for even more world building while being a slice of life filled fantasy with some adventure to it. Anime adaption is ok but the novels shine even more than MT especially by the end imo. Suffers from a much slower start in comparison but all the early developments are essential so it might be a turnoff for some people sadly

DocGreen

Haven't read but I'd argue it depends on what you do fine as world building. I won't argue the political intrigue is probably better but mushoku has a whole magic system that is evolving on screen and off screen. Not to mention the history of the world with old dragons tale and subjugation of the old dragon king. Also mushoku Tensei is just very easy to read. The author just has a talent for it unlike others that make things overly complicated or you can't tell who is talking

Zen

The next episode should be the last "calm" episode we'll ever get, IIRC.

mimiyowa

You guys are living in Tuesday ? It's still Monday for me... Monday #5 :<

Fabien

I really hate when people do this kind of spoil: "that very cool stuff is happening in the next ep", they're so stupid they don't even realize it kills the impact. It's different from comments that explains parts of the lore that aren't really clear in a anime adaptation (some people call it "spoil", but it depends what is discussed). As opposed to that, just telling people "something amazing will happen soon" is really the worst, it's especially upsetting because the retards that do that really believe they're building up the anticipation. While they're doing the opposite.

Lucjusz Kusiński

Big water places (like lakes or ocean) typically have high resistance, even though it may seem like "water is a conductor" it's not that good of a conductor when there's a lot of it.

Samia Anderson

Hey guys! You absolutely HAVE to watch the Demon Slayer movie. It came out on Crunchyroll and trust, you will love it. Hope you guys can when you have time. 😊

Gavern

The reason that Elinalise is so much taller than Cliff is because he is part halfling. He is actually older than Rudeus by a couple years.

Vequoin

I still don’t get why people like MT 😑. Gotta keep watching your reaction though. The whole polygamy and family structure is kinda so weird. And both Roxy and sylphie’s personality is reduced to fit into Rudy’s bride role.
