Senku is such a softie deep down. Sure making the light bulbs were a necessary step on the road to vacuum tubes. But to go out of his way to ensure enough bulbs are made and have a huge tree decorated in time for Xmas to spread some wholesome vibes...then call it a "coincidence". LOL - very on brand for him and it always makes me smile.

I'm curious where you heard that the artist mainly does h-manga. Boichi mainly does manga. Aside from Dr Stone (which is 26 volumes) he has another half dozen manga he's done art for, including Sun-Ken Rock which he did for 10 years. As far as I can find, he only did h-manga early in his career, decades ago before he made it with mainstream manga.

On the subject of planned obscolence: My parents have an old set of Maytag washer and dryers from the 90's that they regularly use. On multiple occasions, they've had repairwork done on either them or on other related things and each time each )mechanic said that there aren't many washer and dryers made to last like those were. The washing machine is especially resilient.

To answer your question: no, a cave with bats wouldn’t be enough on its own. A lot of this is cleared up later on, but since I don’t think it’s a big spoiler, I’ll just say that poop takes time to turn into nitric acid. The bat guano by itself does not contain nitric acid. It has to decompose and be broken down into nitrates, a process that takes months to occur. There are probably other things that happen after that, but that step is the reason why Senku doesn’t make nitric acid from his own poop since it would take months to get any, time they don't have with a resulting quantity that probably won't be enough. That bat cave has had the benefit of being there for a long time so it has built up a good amount of poop which is being slowly converted to nitric acid. Even if Senku started right now, he might have enough nitric acid by the time winter is over to make gunpowder, but Tsukasa would have had that entire time to build up his army to overwhelm them. Narratively, I think the lack of bat caves is just a plot device that hinders Senku and prevents him from making more gunpowder and dealing with Tsukasa's Empire. For now, it’s best to just assume the cave is some ultra rare find, hence why they often call it the “miracle cave.” Nitric acid is kind of an S-tier resource and securing a source of it is arguably the biggest problem for our science crew, aside from the source of petrification, of course.

Perhaps it's being pedantic, but you said he "mainly draws hentai manga" which hasn't been true for the better part of 2 decades. When he stopped drawing h-manga and started drawing manga, he stopped "mainly" doing hentai. Whether there's sexy imagery isn't enough to qualify a manga for the "hentai" label. You wouldn't call a Hollywood movie with T&A or sexualized depictions porn, unless it's actually porn. You wouldn't call Stallone an adult actor because he did porn before he became famous. The same logic applies here.
