Idk if I'm alone in this but this first half of the second season wasn't nearly as interesting as everything before that and I actually dropped it for a little bit. I binged the rest of the season later and I thought it picked up a lot. Felt more like season 1 that I loved.

Yeah I kinda get wat u mean imo Uzuki’s arc was probably the weakest written part of the series but Ikumi’s arc is actually one of my favorites. If the anime’s version of ikumi’s arc doesn’t do it for you I recommend picking up the light novel rascal does not dream of a nightingale it does a better job at portraying the whole picture of this arc and is probably less confusing than the anime

I ended up liking ikumis arc but thats after this. The beginning of it was going too slow along with it being aside the other more boring arcs like uzuki that made it lose my attention. After this episode is when I was fully captured by the story again.

"Remembering is something I'm pretty good at" was definitely referring to Mai's puberty syndrome and managing to remember Shoko after the reset upon seeing her. Sakuta has managed to remember several things which, by all accounts, he shouldn't have been able to due to the nature of the puberty syndromes he was dealing with.
