I just finished Wes and Steph's ReZero season 1 reaction. Do they ever watch the first two openings and endings in the future or did I somehow miss it?

My theory is that its Roy Alphard who possessed Reid. Because we already seen this "take over" or possession when it happened to Subaru when he killed Meili, and when he fell through the sand outside the tower and went underground. And that its actually really the same Reid from the trial room, but taken over and not a copy or shapeshifter like lust. The clue behind this would also be when Rui told Subaru she tried to separate himself, and make new Subaru hate "Natsuki Subaru" so she or they can eat him, which is why we see that after Subaru was possessed and killed Meili, he scratched/carved Natsuki Subaru's name on his arm and all over the wall as "evidence", so new Subaru would hate and dissociate himself from Natsuki Subaru, so THEN THEY can eat him. We can also see that Rui scratched her forearm's skin off till it bleed, same way Roy did in Subaru's body after killing Meili, so thats a small hint and pattern we can see between both of them. So this prob means that the first time Reid came down on this ep, was the real Reid before being taken over, which would explain why he beat him (Rye) up. And the second time when Reid came down was AFTER Rye got killed. And in response to his brother being killed, Roy took over Reid's body, so he can defeat our crew, since they sort of managed to kill him and thought he needed to possess someone a lot stronger. I'm an anime only watcher so no spoilers plz! But thats my theory, i think its pretty solid ngl. Edit: seems i forgot some things from S3 :/ its Rui. So maybe no possessions happened for Reid, and instead Rui transformed into Reid, and she can freely go in and out of the Cradle, Od Ranga. Or maybe my theory was correct and its Roy but HE possesses instead of transforms into Reid

Um Rui did changed her form at the end of season 3 to some other guy to help out her older brother after he got smoked by Felt and Otto

Considering the origin of three Gluttony’s name, it’s likely that there are only 3 Gluttony. We know every archbishop's names are from constellations from our world. Rye "Batenkaitos" is from "whale" constellation. Roy "Alphard" is from "snake" constellation. Rui "Arneb" is from "rabbit" constellation. In sum, Whale and Snake and Rabbit. Yes, the 3 great witchbeast in the world of Re:zero which we learned from previous seasons. So there are 3 great witchbeasts, it is most likely same number with number of sin archbishops of Gluttony.

i actually figured out this whole thing you said just from Rui "Arneb" name being rabbit, since "Arneb" is literally rabbit or bunny in arabic and im arab, so i caught that lol, and i connected the dots from there, despite not knowing anything about constellations LOL

Loving you theories. It is hard to remember eveything uderstandably, but we actually saw Rui changing her appearance at the end of S3. Also we saw every obstacle this episode, but you guessed one wrong) So to give a heads up from now on every episode this season will be even more insane, we are actually getting 6 greatest episodes in a row. For my own question/theory, What happened to Joshua that Orange Lizard that growled at the Bears the beginning of this arc, is he eaten by Gluttony? Did he die offscreen? Why does no one mentioned him anymore is he eating well? I am just worried that he is just not here anymore after they fell underground. If anyone knows what happened to him please let me know as soon as possible.

That Earth Dragon that looks like a triceratops’ name is Joseph, “Joshua” is Julius’ younger brother’s name. and he’s alive, i’m assuming the team didnt feel like showing that he’s alive since it would take time away from more important things in the show I’m a web novel reader, he’s good they have like a months worth of food for him and Patrasche which is why they cant stay in the tower for too long since it’s ganna take time for them to return to a town to restock on food for them
