So the show is now asking what makes a moral demon? Lol just starting the reaction but in the opening that came to me

Next episode is my absolute favorite in the entire series. I meantioned that the season 1 twist wasn't the biggest wtf moment in the show...I was referencing Tahani and Jason sleeping together lol. Philosophically I just fine it unbelievably arrogant the idea of teaching an all knowing eternal being ethics.

I think Joe's idea of "being here for the ride" is a great one. I know it's tempting to predict what'll happen in later episodes (it's what your team is all about, right? :) ), but as you're learning, there's really no future in it -- the writers are always ahead of us.

Yeah, the fact that he's gunna gain some humanity is really interesting and I think the mid life crisis in this episode was really well done.

Is it arrogant to question authority just cause that authority "claims" to know everything? I mean we see here Michael had never in his millions of years of existence considered mortality so he was clearly wrong about that.

It’s Chinese for « Japon »

Yeah, I'm with All mankind here. The point of this episode is that someone who has never had to think about mortality would lack the mental foundation to have an existential crisis to begin with.

I just want to give props to Kristen Bell here, who is always amazing but is especially so here, specifically in Eleanor's grief-fueled breakdown at Bed Bath & Beyond (as well as in her conversation with Michael afterward). Even though it's partly played for laughs, there's a real rawness in her performance that rings incredibly true to me. It brings a tear to my eye every time I watch. Kristen is an actor that has become best known for her charm and comedy skills, but if you're familiar with her earlier work (especially on Veronica Mars), you know that she's an incredible dramatic actor as well. And when she brings that part out on "The Good Place," it's all the more powerful because of how it contrasts with the overall fun vibe of the show.

Honestly before this I knew of her but it was mostly comedy. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is one of my all time favorite films. I'm glad I get to see her weekly.
