The Testi-Roastial

For me, I respect the creative leap they took in doing the flashbacks, but I didn't care much for them until this episode. This is where they work best for me and when I felt they were worth it. Loved the structure and the set up of the episode with the Susie roast. It was incredibly impactful and, as you guys said, wraps up a lot of the mysteries of the season even though you still have three episodes left. Honestly, this could've easily been the penultimate episode and I could've done without the next two before the finale. There are scenes I like in them, but if they were in other eps (like replacing the trash can musical) I would've been happy lol. I'm interested to see how you guys feel about what's to come as you were talking about Joel etc. I say expect less in terms of knowing all the answers you want to know about the future and enjoy the rest of the ride. I really like the finale and I'll be back with a lot to say! I'll pop in for a couple comments on 8 as well.

This episode and the finale might be the two that I have been most excited for you guys to see. Love going on this journey with you. Savor the last few episodes, they’re all great.

I can't add much to your comments here, just that I think this episode is brilliant, and I believe you will love the finale. By the way, the actor playing Aaron Lebowitz (the "little guy" from "Mad Men") is Danny Strong. He started on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and was then on "Gilmore Girls" (along with many other actors on this show). He then became a screenwriter, writing the movies "Recount", "Game Change", "The Butler", and the two "Mockingjay" movies. He also created the TV series "Empire" and the miniseries "Dopesick." As for future reactions, I have mixed feelings about you watching "Northern Exposure." I absolutely LOVED it when it first aired, feeling it was unique and original. But recently I tried watching it again and I found it to be dated, slow, and just annoying. It doesn't really stand the test of time. On the other hand, I was just rewatching "Gilmore Girls" from the beginning, and I'm still just as charmed as I was when I first saw it. Maybe you should try just half of the first season to see how you like it. And if you're going to try any quality series from the 90s, I'd suggest watching at least the first few episodes of "E.R."; it's clearly a show of its time, but I think the quality holds up. And by the way, I now really look forward to these Monday night "Watch This!" multi-show marathons! Thanks for making Mondays a little brighter!

Thanks for the suggestions and with the end of Maisel, keep your eyes open! We'll have something coming ;)

Rebel Pilot

Amazing episode. Probably the best OG show on prime. I would recommend watching Gilmore Girls. It is great but Maisel really is Palladinos Magnum Opus. so far. Gilmore sometimes shows its age and the restrictions it had. Many didnt like the Netflix Special... yet I felt it was amazing and I think it was shaped a lot by a real life event and thats why it was the way it was. I am still salty that Rings of power drained resources from this excellent show but I am happy we got what we have.

I haven't seen Rings of Power but I feel like Tolkein woulnd't have loved it lmao. I do wanna watch GG just out of curiosity at this point. I love MMM so much and I wanna see everything these creators have done. As far as best Prime show goes... I gotta give it up to Fleabag!
