omg i’d LOVE to see u guys react to inside out!! one of the few ‘family’ (i refuse to call it kids) movies that has some genuinely good nuance.

Could you confirm if the patron fees have been adjusted to $5.40?

im so glad you guys enjoyed the reaction! one of those movies that just knocks it out of the park in all regards - cinematography, animation, colours, music, dialogue, story... no misses. You can tell when something is just genuinely GOOD quality, no gimmicks needed. as for recs: wall-e and inside out are def some pixar favourties ('up' too, but I think you mentioned youve already seen this one) <3 Zootopia and wreck it ralph as well if you want to lean more disney :))

When it comes to Pixar, I feel like most of their non-franchise movies are top-tier (I'd say Toy Story 3 was the last sequel that was truly great). Inside Out, WALL-E, Up, Coco, Soul, Luca ... all incredible. And Turning Red is actually my new favorite Pixar.

Ratatouille is traditionally made with tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, onions, and eggplant, Garlic, thyme, and basil are often added as well.

The scene where Ego is taken back to his childhood, where his mother comforts him with the "peasant food", always has stuck with me as an ingenious way to show, without saying directly via dialogue, what the taste meant.

It is really good. Especially when it's cooked properly. Only good things in this meal 🙂

There is a small French restaurant near me on Long Island in the NYC suburbs that makes Great Ratatouille

Yeah, it's something that they nailed. I don't think it would have the same effect in a live action movie.

Also, if I can add something to the conversation, the loss of a star (especially from the Michelin guide) is really something many cooks experience badly. One of our most famous chefs, Bernard Loiseau, committed suicide in 2003 after learning that one of his restaurants had lost a star. It made a big impression. I no longer know if Gusteau is partly inspired by Loiseau. It's possible.
