You’re right that Meadow’s friend Hunter isn’t a strong actress. She’s actually David Chase’s daughter. She never acted in anything else.

Love that scene between Livia and Junior. She’s so sinister. She sort of has dead eyes. Great actress. Nancy Marchand won four supporting actress emmys on Lou Grant. Also plays Leslie Nielsen’s boss in The Naked Gun. All very different performances.

Kevin-The guy with cancer is the "Boss" of the family...Jackie Aprile...so if he dies, the question is who takes over the crime family. Unlike the Godfather where the sons are next in line,..there are several under-bosses

This is in no way a spoiler, but if there’s one thing I recommend watching is how fucking AMAZING John Ventimiglia (Artie) is with his physical acting. He doesn’t make a meal of it, but it is so hilarious and helps to keep an eye out for it. Even the way he threw good cuts at Tony he somehow added more humor to.

Yeah, Jackie didn’t want to talk about cancer to what people sometimes do when they’re sick…make everything about the disease and that’s all they can think about.

FYI without giving anything away: David Chase has stated that Tony’s relationship with his mom is exactly how his relationship was with his mother. They’re out there and some have to deal with them.

The religion/morals is actually discussed at some point with Dr. Melfi. I believe it’s fairly early and not even really a spoiler, but Tony’s explanation is that they are the exact same as soldiers on a battlefield…and they don’t go to hell.

I feel sorry for David Chase. My relationship with my own mother is the same. I'm 58 and I've spoken to her perhaps 4 times in the past 27 years, when my father passed away about 12 years ago and at my wedding about 27 years ago which she tried to ruin. I put up with her abuse with me but wan't going to let her ruin my marriage which is still going strong.
