This was a perfect season finale! So many satisfying confrontations. And this series just keeps topping itself. The wait between seasons in real time was agonizing. Can't wait to see your reaction to the next episode!

Today, you feel fortunate if there’s a high quality series that you enjoy and it produces a ten episode series. But there was a span from (1999-2007) that thirteen episode seasons were the norm. It started with HBO and The Sopranos + Six Feet Under + The Wire; AMC had Mad Men, Breaking Bad after its initial seven ep first season,; FX’s The Shield, Rescue Me, and Damages produced thirteen; even Netflix followed suit with House of Cards. The writer’s strike + negotiations between HBO and Chase, and Gandolfini really changed The Sopranos makeup during its later seasons. Mad Men/Breaking Bad had ongoing negotiations too, this led to sixteen episode seasons that AMC broke up into smaller seasons to maximize ad revenue. It was a crazy, fun time, a revolutionary beginning to prestige 📺!

Faccia brutta is an Italian phrase that translates to "ugly face". It was the name of a restaurant in Boston's Back Bay owned by chefs Jamie Bissonnette and Ken Oringer of JK Food Group. However, in October 2022, the restaurant changed its name to Faccia a Faccia, which means "face to face", to avoid conflict with a Brooklyn-based amari producer named Faccia Brutto.

"Googootz” is an Italian term of endearment and slang for zucchini. It comes from the Italian word cucuzza, which refers to a long, curved squash that grows in southern Italy. In The Sopranos, Tony uses “googootz” as a term of endearment for his son, AJ. It can also be used to describe someone who is charming, eccentric, or a little kooky.

I didn't really notice it until I listened to the podcast Michael Imperioli and Steve Schirripa (BOBBY IS THE BEST) talked about how absolutely amazing John Ventimiglia (Artie) with just little physical things that doesn't chew up scenery, but adds such hilarity and depth to the character.

I'm just catching up, but I couldn't stop myself from laughing hysterically when you said somebody should put a pillow over Livia's face lol.
