You guys are terrible at coin-flipping, just saying. :D

I never even heard of this show, but that's a stacked cast, and Scott Frank has some serious street cred, so I'm very intrigued.

The Queen's Gambit is _excellent_, great choice for a future outing.

I was a little iffy on this show at first but I really came around by the time I finished it, I think it's severely underappreciated.

I've never heard of this series, but damn was that good! Can't wait for the rest.

Skinny_Obelix

Never heard of this, always excited to discover new shows.

I had started this show back when it came out and just wasn’t in the right frame of mind for it. Now after watching the Taylor Sheridan westerns this fits in. Though I still love Yellowstone more. I did go see Horizon. It is very much a tv series that Kevin Costner wanted to have a movie size budget that no network would pay. Lonesome Dove if made by John Ford is a great comparison. He’s even said since it failed in theaters that he envisioned it’s final form would be a 25 episode series.

Hard-core intro scene, I'm in! 🤩

K&J's audio fritzed out for me around the 30 minute mark, seemed to recover around 37 minutes, was it just me?

Roland Cooke

Fantastic first episode, I'm on board!

Right? It was just something I had mentioned to friends that I had seen available on Netflix scrolling, and they were pretty enthusiastic about how good it is.

I’m sure you’ll still get to see it because Costner I think has filmed three out of the four “movies”. But I wouldn’t be surprised if the other parts come out direct to streaming

I still enjoyed the three hours. I spent in the theater with part one and will watch the rest of it, but I understand why it has limited appeal, except for older people who enjoyed the big miniseries like that.

Oooh, I watched this a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it but hardly any of my friends had heard of it. Excited to watch it again with you both!

In the UK Michelle Dockery (Alice) is quite well known as she played one of the main characters from Downton Abbey.
