Hello, all! I have gone back through some older posts and put together a list of movies that have solely come from you! Some of these are movies from previous polls that we REALLY want to watch, but didn't quite have the support to win. Please keep your recommendations coming, and please vote for as many as you'd like!

ooo, i hope slumdog wins!! dev patel has been killing it recently

Cosmic Slice

Clue is *so* much fun! Such a classic comedy.

Alex Lee

Clue and Labyrinth would both be great choices

Mermaid Day

Clue is a really fun movie with a great cast

Cristy

Clue! It's really good.

Brina Blue

I missed Labyrinth when it came out and I would love an excuse to finally watch it! Also, I know that you'll love Clue!

Roland Cooke

Clue, Spy Game, Time Bandits. (As I stated before I think you should watch the latter anyway because of the upcoming Taika Waititi TV series reimagining). I finally saw Labyrinth for the first time a couple of years ago, and I was underwhelmed. Now I'll be the first to highlight that I am not really the target audience, and likewise several on this list wouldn't be suitable for a younger audience either. But I think the best kids' movies are suitable for everyone and are also timeless, I don't think Labyrinth qualifies. N.B. my wife disagrees vehemently with me! 🤣

The Inedible Mattman!

Have you guys ever seen Dodgeball? It’s one of my favorite comedies and if you haven’t I think you might enjoy it. 😊

Kimba

Clue and Labyrinth! Voted for Clue but my second vote would be for Labyrinth.

I didn't realize how popular Clue is. It's a fun movie, but I'm not voting for it here (not that it needs my vote, clearly!). Labyrinth is a classic, and probably more a 'teen' movie than a kid movie, but for a specific type of teen in a specific era. It's very 80s! And as always, I will call for Spy Game! The polling is showing me how much of an underappreciated film it is. It is truly an excellent understated spy thriller with a flawless performance by Redford. This isn't James Bond or Jason Bourne, it feels much more grounded than those and, for me at least, that really strengthens the stakes and tension of the film.

Eventually (and it may be when we are done with the Harry Potter films) we are just going to do Spy Game on a non-poll week.

The lack of votes for Tin Cup irks me, y'all 🫶

I think it would be cool for y’all to check out some movies about the news media prior to embarking on The Newsroom. The Paper, All the President’s Men, Network, Wag the Dog.
