If you ever watched LOST, the beginning of this episode is an homage to the season two premiere with Desmond. Also, the next episode is one of my favorite episodes of television. I can’t wait.

Great reaction! I don't think there's any general consensus about which seasons of The Good Place are best; as with most things, there are lots of different ideas about that, and one friend (and some of the actors, though I think they were asked before season 4) prefers Season 3 above all others. I do know that some of the Season 3 episodes are among my top favorites (including Jeremy Bearimy and this one... and the next one).

Michael McKean is a marvelous actor. He's done fine work in movies and on TV, but I've seen him a number of times onstage in NYC, and he was terrific every time: in a secondary role in The Pajama Game (starring Harry Connick Jr), in a serious role (with a British accent) in a Pinter play, and as the Stage Manager (narrator) in a wonderful production of Our Town.

To me, he will always be Lenny Kosnowski of Lenny and Squiggy fame. For you youngsters, they were on "Laverne & Shirley" in the late 70s and early 80s. (Wow, I'm really old.)

Oh man. I bet it was delightful to see him onstage. Recently, he was a favorite of ours in the Christopher Guest films.

And let's not forget his big role in Good Omens, doing a Scottish accent opposite an actual Scots actor (David Tennant).

Michael Manville

"AND I DRANK HIS PISS" This episode has maybe the strongest mix of serious and funny. Jason in the last 2 minutes is incredible comedy.

I love him so much. I'm pretty much done with Star Wars, I've been thinking about watching The Acolyte just because he's in it.

Weird Magic

Quick background signage update - the bar they were at was "The Puking Moose"

The title of this post is incorrect. There are two Season 3, Episode 9's, and I believe this one should be Episode 8 instead.
