Aida Turturro was nominated for two Emmys for her performance. Nancy Marchand was nominated for two Emmys, although she had already won three Emmys for the series Lou Grant.

Peter Bogdanovich as Melfi's psychiatrist colleague; and of course David Proval as Richie... I love the choices of actors they get for this show!

I'm a firm believer in the David Mamet line (Glengarry Glenross), "If popular opinion says one thing, I say bet the other way." So from that I definitely refused to watch shows that everybody was talking about until way later. Especially as there were so many ridiculous "let's pour Ragu over some spaghetti, drink wine, and watch The Sopranos." I mean in my older years I don't dislike those kinds of people as much as I used to, but being Italian (and an asshole) I felt i wouldn't be able to not make snarky comments that nobody would enjoy....so I chose to stay home and watch (and love it) in about 2012.

Might be the best acting David Proval has ever done.....and that is saying A LOT!!!

David Proval is the most intimidating "smaller" actor I've ever seen. It's (as is said later) "those Manson lamps."

The most unrealistic line of the ENTIRE series - "Can you believe we drank a whole bottle of wine between the three of us??" Ummmmm, 3/4 of a glass each?

He's great. This is the perfect show for him. And no matter how menacing or violent he is in the coming episodes, from him, it will be completely believable.

Perfect casting! As soon as I saw David Proval, my first thought was "of course he is on The Sopranos. This is a perfect show for him."

I'm the same, really. I jumped on two bandwagons I ultimately thought were underwhelming: Squid Game and Tiger King. I regretted both. No hate, just not for me. Bingeing shows like this, much later, seems to work for me. The Wire has stood the test of time, so I am very excited to start watching it in a few weeks.
