Longer episode - needed to get their money's worth taking everybody to Italy lol.

The man that ignores Paulie at the outdoor cafe is series creator David Chase.

Also, just like David Chase insisted they shoot everything in New Jersey or New York, he insisted they actually go to Italy. So all of that (or at least majority) was on location.

Oof, that song! It was everywhere in the late 90s, and I thought it extra-perfect for this show -- because it's not just Italian, but the cheesy version of the real thing (Pavarotti, Gigli, et al). Bocelli is pop/opera crossover, he only has that big sound when mic'd... Some say he's "the Thomas Kinkade of opera singers," which nails it. Carmela is the EXACT core audience for his albums. Tony enters the Napoli villa to old music suggesting the Godfather, but his reality is Bocelli, over and over. :)

Also bit of trivia, the guy who Paulie calls "commendatori" and he ignores him is David Chase.

I read it that she got maybe 30 cars at 15K discount apiece, so the compensation for Furio was substantial.

Also.....Furrr-eeeee-ohhhhh!!!! (Apologies for the terrible Hook from 1991 reference).

Tony, Pauline, Christopher, and Silvio were trying to watch a pirate copy of The Godfather on DVD that is featured as an "Easter egg" on the bonus disc in the Godfather Trilogy box set.
