So in the latest news about real-world Illegals, you know about that huge prisoner swap that took place last week, returning the Wall Street Journal journalist and a bunch of other people? Well going back in the other direction were spies, assassins, and various other Kremlin unsavories. And traveling on the plane with them were two kids.... read this wild stuff. 🤩🤩 https://x.com/simonmontefiore/status/1819324588360183952?s=19

The scene where Elizabeth kills the mugger reminds me of an episode of Le Bureau* I just watched, where a to-be undercover agent is trained how to safely(ish) LOSE a fight, because his ordinary joe persona _wouldn't_ know kung fu! *I've finally gotten started with this amazing modern-day espionage show from France, being re-made right now as The Agency with Michael Fassbender.

That's the second bug that Aderholdt found, suspicious, no? 😇😂

I don't think P&E are blindly loyal to the country - they have motivation. The sympathy analogy from your prelude regarding the Sopranos is probably a good one. P&E do believe that all the bad things they are doing are a) making the world a better place b) protecting the people in their homeland and c) the exact same thing the evil Reagan US govt is doing too, which justifies it. Oleg doesn't want it stopped because it's morally wrong to have it, he wants it stopped because he doesn't trust the Russian facilities that are going to receive it are going to be able to handle it correctly. Big difference. The person that was caught at the mail robot is the AA woman Elizabeth recruited, right?

You caught the pillow in front of Elizabeth on the couch, I couldn't help but also notice P&E unpacking about 2 months worth of groceries during the scene with Paige. Man, they really had big loaves of bread in the 80's. :) Originally airing on June 1, 2016, 'A Roy Rogers in Franconia' is Episode 12 of Season 4 of The Americans. It is the 51st episode overall and has an IMDB rating of 8.2, placing it as the #7 ranked episode of this season and #19 out of all the episodes shown so far. P.S. more subtle Anchorman quotes please

> The person that was caught at the mail robot is the AA woman Elizabeth recruited, right? < I don't think so, the main AA recruit was killed (by Elizabeth). AFAIK it's just a random recruit that thinks they are working for a regular criminal outfit.

Oleg is also privy to the "radar reflecting off clouds nearly started WW3" and the revelation that the Russian submarine wasn't necessarily sunk by sabotaged US blueprints, rather that the Soviet naval testing program was completely unsafe. He doesn't trust his own people to handle bio-weapons. That doesn't make him blind to all the faults of America.

Was gunna say AA lady is super dead. Still love following P&E, they're our protagonist. Love that they are so complex. Sometimes it's just hard watching what they "have" to do
