Top five episode for me. One of the best guest performances on the show, and I think the script is flawless.

The actor portraying Vito was the actor in the bakery scene when Christopher shot the cashier in the first season. Jamie-Lynn Sigler still does a lot tv roles and host a couple podcasts. One with Robert Iler (AJ) “Not Today” and the other with Christina Applegate “Messy” where they discuss their Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. The trailer for Wise Guy was released this week. It is a documentary directed by Alex Gibney about David Chase and the creation of the Sopranos.

Robert Patrick was great here, always like to see him. Nice cameo from Frank Sinatra Jr. as well, and film director Paul Mazursky as the poker dealer.

Vaffanculo tu - go fuck yourself. + Researching that found me this. 🤩 Vaffanculo a chi t'è morto. Translation: “Go f#**# your dead family members.” Or "the souls of your dead family members." Notes: An elevated vaffanculo. When you want to be extra insulting and vaffanculo just won’t cut it. In Italian culture, when you add anything about family members it’s extra offensive. +

When the song played over the end credits, I immediately recognized it...but where from, I have no idea. Some old timey-wimey Western or something I guess?

Theme song never changes. You're going to start The Wire and that theme song DOES "change" each season....but it's the same song (Way Down in the Hole by Tom Waits), but each season has a different artist playing the same song. I'm an absolute Tom Waits FANBOY, but in this instance the Steve Earle version I will admit is actually the best.

Hell no, RIP on Donahue, and no shade can or should be thrown at Mr. Alan Alda!!

This is the type of show that everyone will have a different top 5 because all the episodes are that good.

It will premiere on HBO in September. So try to stay from any clips online that might spoil future episodes.

You have interesting opening "musings" on the longevity of janice and Ritchie...I won't say more

The gambler who is the father of Meadow's friend from High school choir is actor Robert Patrick- who was the fully liquid metal T-1000 "Terminator 2" bad guy
