I love this finale, even though it’s a downer. The Chidi-Eleanor clip show is great but I think my favorite bit is the scene with Eleanor and Janet.

Two of my favorite moments in the entire series back to back: Chidi and Eleanor watching their memories. “Jeremy Bearimy, baby” and “I’m a legit snack” became quotes I still use to this day. And the scene with Eleanor and Janet is perfect. D’Arcy Carden talked on the podcast about how they were both emotional trying to get through that scene.

unrelated to the good place (although the clip show makes me cry every time) - i'm simultaneously so excited that you're about to start the wire (yay!!!) and more than a little bummed i didn't catch up before you finished mad men. (i blame prime because around the time i was starting to catch up they added their stupid ads - which also affected the amc add-on - and i was pissed and refused to pay an extra $3/mo. on top of what i was already paying for prime PLUS the add-on. so, at some point i'll sort that out and you'll get some random comments about two years late.) but in the meantime, THE WIRE!!!!

I recently finished a rewatch of Crazy Ex Girlfriend with your reactions and I remember one of you saying Season 2, Episode 6 (Who Needs Josh When You Have a Girl Group) was more cringy than Scott’s Tots.

I would be emotional too. The camaraderie of the cast is fantastic. It just seems like they spent a lifetime together. To be able to convey that in just 3 seasons is wonderful.

I also love the Eleanor Janet scene. I like that the episode has a harsh tragic turn but then it hard cuts to Eleanor in an office having to quietly find the motivation to keep going, as a small little reprieve/aftermath

Here's something I just realised while watching this reaction: the dot on the 'i' in Jeremy Bearimy went from being the thing that broke Chidi's brain to his safe space with Eleanor. God, this show has beautiful writing.
