Hello, friends! Joe and I are having to double up on movies Friday, so we needed s short one to watch with Harry Potter 7. Enter an animation list I had someone else make! I pared a list of a dozen down to the 8 we haven't seen. Please vote for as many as you'd like, and keep making suggestions! Thank you!

Remember, when/if you go with a Pixar movie, make sure you have kleenex within reach.

Think you gotta start with Wall-E if this is the list. It's not like animation was never taken seriously before it, but it was the first time in a long time where it felt like I was watching an animated movie that felt...artsy. I think I'd have to go back to The Brave Little Toaster for a similar experience.

Wall-E or Inside Out are the two I have seen so I voted for them

Great choices here, Fantastic Mr Fox is one of my faves of all time.

That's a good list, some very different tones in there. The Fantastic Mr Fox is a marvelous novella from Roald Dahl, and Wes Anderson has since gone on to adapt a few more of Dahl's short stories on Netflix, including The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar. Despite some disturbing stuff that has since come out about Dahl (and now Gaiman), he remains perhaps my favorite author, there's not many authors that can create different masterworks for both adult and child audiences.

Lilo and Stitch is a classic Disney animation film in my book. And one if you haven’t seen, I recommend

I don't mean to throw a wrench in the works, but there is a horribly underrated/unseen movie called Mary and Max that is so amazing, brilliant, and how to treat people different from you that it makes my cry every time.
