I had never noticed till I was watching it tonight how similar Luke and Toby from West Wing are with the gruff but lovable personality. I’ve done handbells at Christmas that scene was very familiar. For Christmas this year they are decorating the Stars Hollow set on the lot and making it a Christmas village tourist attraction. Luke will even be there one day serving coffee and hot chocolate outside of Luke’s.

If you guys didn’t know about the trope that Jewish people eat Chinese food on Christmas, it’s possible you would have been a little confused when there’s eventually an episode titled “Jews and Chinese Food”. I love the episode and Luke and Lorelai’s chemistry and I love that you guys love it. And I should really take notes while I’m watching because I forget what else I was going to say.

IME the scene with her dad ... NAILED shot for shot. Phone call at the beginning was just like coordinating an event yesterday with my mom + her grandkid when I couldn't go lol. Fun stunted growth family dynamics! The feelings are under there somewhere 😅 I'm the only one who's gone to therapy, which keeps me as "the eccentric".

I love Max also, but just because he's a great guy, doesn't mean he's right for Lorelai. Luke is much more her style and knows how to handle her quirks. He gets her. Max didn't. I would go into more detail, but I don't want to spoil anything that hasn't happened, yet!

I'd love to go see that village, too!!! Being from a little town in CT, just like Stars Hollow, there are usually a few Gilmore Girls events during the fall season! Nothing like being on the set, though! That would be incredible!!!

Emily is awful to a LOT of people throughout the series, but in this case, I think she was just terrified. Still bad behavior, but more understandable. She really loves Richard, but also, I think she doesn’t know how the business side of the house operates. That’s why she was so upset about the insurance form. She didn’t have the information, and she wasn’t really sure how to get it.
