Remember what Maester Aemon said to Jon at the wall, “Love is the death of duty”. That was ultimately the downfall of Robb and Catelyn. Catelyn’s love for her daughters led her to releasing Jamie, costing Robb support of his allies. Robb’s love for Talesa cost him focus on the war and the alliance with the Freys. Season four is going to be so good. It’s probably Peter Dinklage’s best season as Tyrion. We also get the introduction of one best characters in the series, prince Oberyn Martel.

For sure Season 4 is epic Dinkledge—I hope he won something for it. Strap in you’re going to have a great ride! It’s fun getting to relive things through your eyes—thanks for the great reactions.

Glad this episode brought your GoT mojo back somewhat! - Arya seeing what the Freys did to Rob’s/Grey Wind’s (the wolf) body was SO messed up. She was visually shielded from the actual moment her father lost his head, but she saw his body being dragged away — and now she’s seen this as well. No wonder she seems to be slowly, but surely, gaining a bolder, chaotic, giving-zero-fucks-about-her-own-safety energy. As you said — she’s got an air of “ninja” about her. Trauma’s a hell of thing, and Arya is already a person of strong intent and will. I like that the Hound seems to have grown some respect for her toughness. When the Brotherhood Without Banners caught Arya and her friends, they jokingly called her a “dangerous individual”. The Hound now seems to think this is accurate. A ringing endorsement! - “Well, there’s a Lonely Island reference . . . “ 😆 In the middle of the darkest things, a The Lonely Island reference was such a funny moment! Nice one. - it’s nice that Tyrion is actually trying to spend time with Sansa and be in her corner. He’s known for braking social rules, so he’s either making a concerted effort to be nice to her, or knowing that time he spends with Sansa is also extra time with Shae. Either way, he’s being SO sweet to Sansa. Choosing to leave her in silence after seeing that she knows what happened to her family was the kindest choice he could have made — and since he’s someone who loves talking and getting his thoughts out there, that was a big choice for him. - Have people talked before here about how the fate of the Stark direwolves **kind of** mirrors the fates of their individual corresponding Starks? It doesn’t apply to all, and with the ones that do it’s FAR from a one-to-one comparison, but it was enough that fans talked about it. It certainly held true here, unfortunately.

I will always enjoy this show, no matter how dark it gets. I am way too invested at this point not to! Amazing season. Definitely a difficult watch but just magnificent.
