Glad you guys liked this one. I saw it one year at the film festival in Toronto, loved it, and have remembered it ever since. I've always thought it deserved much more hype and praise than it got during its eventual release. It was nominated for the Palme d'Or and won best screenplay at Cannes. Tommy Lee Jones won best actor at Cannes as well. I really loved the sparse dialog, the visual storytelling, and Barry Pepper was amazing. Joe, I'll definitely check out "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia" soon. Believe or not, Seattle still has a video rental store and they have it on Blu-Ray. 😊

I would have loved to have seen this in a theater. This really has stuck with me. I rewatched Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia last night and it's a really great companion piece to this. I'd say Three Burials is way more completive and ultimately not as schlocky. Nonetheless, they are both pitch black odysseys that leave me wanting more. Time to bust out the Cormac McCarthy!

Pretty sure I watched Three Burials (that cast!), but I don't remember, so maybe not! I guess the obvious next movie in the threelogy would be Three Billboards Outside Billings, Missouri (wonderful film). :)
