Was looking forward to this all night at work, the open with Bodie is one of my favorite opens in the series. It says so much.

Cops, drug dealers, dock workers, politicians, addicts, immigrants.... and we're only in season 2. I love how the show portrays good cops and bad cops, "good" drug dealers and evil ones, etc. Makes the show feel more real than any other drama I"ve ever seen. This show expertly weaves so many characters together and connects their stories in compelling ways. You guys have a great feel for their motivations which is kinda rare for first time reactors. All the pieces matter.

I remember reading interviews with people in Baltimore at the time, commenting on the reality of The Wire. They were all praise, except for one thing: the women were way more powerful and central to the Game than the show tends to portray them. So, I always imagine all kinds of Brianna Barksdales.

We really watch this with a microscope. We try to pay attention to every facet. It's filled with so much nuance that even a slight glance can mean something. I love LOVE this show and cannot wait to see the next episode.
