This coming week is going to be so long!!

Not sure if you guys caught it, but the KGB officer Elizabeth shot was Oleg's former love interest from the past few seasons (Tatiana).

The Elizabeth wanting to kill Granny conversation is something I've been pulling my hair out on for a couple seasons now - especially last week when Joe said something like "they've been pushing in that direction for years". In the show, Elizabeth said it after Granny had them tortured to see if either of them were the mole in early S2. Since then, they've had a professional relationship, in fact Paige has been brought into a personal relationship with Granny. The only person that kept it going since S2 was Kevin :) I get it - it happens and you two watch A LOT of TV but I've been screaming it every time I watch.

Enjoy the finale! Matthew Rhys won the Best Actor Emmy in very large part due to the next episode. Also note - as with most Series Finales, it's a little longer with a 68 minute runtime. This episode is the 2nd highest rated Americans episode on IMDB, the Finale is the highest. Originally airing on May 23, 2018, 'Jennings, Elizabeth' is Episode 9 of Season 6 of The Americans. It is the 74th episode overall and has an IMDB rating of 9.4, placing it as the #2 ranked episode of this season and #1 out of all the episodes shown so far.

All of the actors in these final episodes bring their A-game, and the choices that the writers and directors make truly show that they're the best in their field. I'm SO excited about next week!

"Well...crap" Excellent succinct summary. 🙂

You might decide to keep the slot for the week after the finale for a J&K review of the whole show, just a suggestion.

I keep forgetting that this show does not tell stories in a traditional way. It's not an action movie so I need to stop looking for those kinds of troupes

I did not catch that. I thought it was curious how they did the close up on her face. Okay so her story gets resolved!

and sound too! From having no sound, just the actors in their environment for 8+ minutes to the choice of music - A++

I know you’ve already picked your next show, but I’ll still be over here crossing my fingers that Severence has finally found its way into your rotation. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🖤 Regardless, I look forward to watching the upcoming finale of the Americans “with” you guys, and I have no doubt that you’ve picked a great follow-up show even if it’s NOT one of the awesomest shows ever created for television🙂.
