In context they have been dating for about a nine-ish months. But with a substantial break in there of a few months. So it is a bit of a fast proposal but nothing really rushed. You probably feel it is fast because Max is not in a bunch of episodes so he doesn't seem as prominent in their lives as he actually is.

It took over 100,000 daisies to fill the inn lobby that full! They cleared all of the yellow daisies out of CA and beyond to do that scene! Amy Sherman Palladino said they started with 1,000 and it looked like 100!

I'm 100% with you guys on Tristan. The guy is acting crazy and dangerous. I think it's fair to assume he's not in a good place mentally/emotionally, but he's making it Rory's problem by harassing her. Not cool.

You guys absolutely had the correct response to that proposal. I’ve never noticed before that Rory and Lane have their hair done the same way, with little front braids, in that one scene. It’s cute. Speaking of “cute,” something definitely went a little wrong with the portrayal of Clara. She sounds like she’s written to be about five but the actress was twelve and it just does not work. (and ps another thing I’ve never noticed before is I’m pretty sure Lauren Graham tripped on her way out the door after the Max-Luke scene)

I'm sick rn and couldn't click off fast enough before last episode, so now I'm on a binge, trying to come to a stop point so I can be back in sync with you in 4 mos 😅 Greatest thing about this show is every time is like the first time. I can't wait to see what happens AND IVE SEEN IT AT LEAST 10 TIMES THROUGH 😄 I'm kind of glad I got a bit ahead though, so my input can be more thought out as you go along, since even knowing the big beats, I'm still always being thrown for a loop by many of the great little nuances and subtle details.

Cannot say enough how things like filming, camera work, lighting, and set up impact the flavor and brilliance. Something profit motive has clearly cheapened over time across the industry.

I totally agree, things have cheapened in the industry. Shows and movies for that matter do not look nearly as good as they used to. Also your commitment to this show is amazing!

Yay! This was a great episode, and I love how both Rory and Lorylai go through the same basic story, ending on the same basic page. Even though Rory has grown up a little this season, they're still very much in sync. Oh, and I have this theory about the Trubador. When I was first watching the show, I noticed he shows up every time a "big moment" happens to Loralai. But in this episode, since both mother and daughter were having dualing stories, there were TWO Trubador's in the town!! Thank you guys so much for this season of reactions. You get this show, and I love hearing your thoughts on the characters and storylines. I leave you with two questions: 1.) Who is your favorite towny character? (no Luke/Loralai/Rory) 2.) Who do you like for Lor ... Max, Luke, or Christopher?

We only ever see like 100 people in the town meetings and such but it's stated to be around 9000, which makes sense with how built up the town center is. Only way a town with only a thousand permanent residents would have that variety of shops and restaurants is if it was primarily a tourist town, which doesn't seem likely for anything 30 minutes from Hartford, or if it had a much higher population in the past that cratered, which also doesn't seem to be the case.

Sucks that that’s a thing. It’s just plain harassment, if there was any justice Tristan should be at least getting suspended for this type of behavior but he’s a rich kid and Rory is probably still not in good graces with the school administration at this point.
