Day made! I can't wait to watch.

This movie is SO GOOD. It is one of my top 10 movies of all time, and one of the things that's so magical about it is how effortless it all feels -- this movie is a Michael Jordan crossover step fadeaway 18-foot jumper that splashes the net. It's so great at so much all at once that it's almost too easy to overlook how brilliant it is.

You are SO welcome! I'm so happy you like it too, I've seen it more times than I can count.

Thank you so much, guys, your reaction did not disappoint as usual. I'm so happy you enjoyed it. When you mentioned liking Steve Zahn in You've Got Mail it made me think of this. It's funny how he was in both those movies in 1998 and just how different they are. The cast is amazing. The chemistry between JLo and George Clooney is so, so good I'm surprised they haven't been in anything else since. I love how Joe is like "It's a romcom." Haha, it really is with some crime and action thrown in (my fave kind of movie). Also, yeah, Karen definitely has a "type." That cracked me up when you said it. I love this movie for its cast, its score and its direction, Soderbergh did an amazing job.

I was waiting to see if you'd recognise Ray Nicolette's character from Jackie Brown and when Michael Keaton shows up your reaction did not disappoint. He and Samuel L Jackson actually filmed their cameos for free. Another thing you might not have had time to notice is Jack's photo on the front page of the newspaper. It's actually George's character, Seth Gecko's mugshot from, From Dusk 'Till Dawn (coincidentally my fave Tarantino alongside Reservoir Dogs). So, when Karen says it doesn't look like him it's pretty funny.

Cristy

Also, yeah Elmore Leonard had a series of books and a TV show (that you mentioned) called Karen Sisco based on JLo's character.

The worst acting in this movie happens in the very beginning, when they show Jack being terrible at basketball. George Clooney was a starter on his high school hoops team in basketball-mad Kentucky. And famously used to play in a frequent pickup game at the Hollywood YMCA during the ER years, where others who played used to describe Clooney as a man among boys in those games. Also, apparently before he asked Keaton about doing Ray Nicolet again in Jackie Brown, Tarantino called Soderbergh to make sure that the latter was OK with it.

Love this! Is there anything George Clooney can't do, lol.

I absolutely love Jackie Brown, so I instantly recognized Ray's name. I'm so glad Keaton was willing to do this!

You nailed it. All of the pieces of this movie came together so well, and it was photographed and edited masterfully. A huge credit to Soderbergh.

Thanks! I was pretty sure there was a television show with that name, but I wasn't sure of it was based solely on her appearance in this film or not.

I said Out of Africa, Kevin, not Out of Sight. Just kidding, I’ll stop bugging you.
