This may be one of the most visually stunning movies ever, shot on location in 24 countries over four years.

This is one of my favorite movies! It was one of those core movies from high school when I got more into film.

OMG, I'm so glad you liked it! It's one of my favorites! And I'm so sorry, I should have warned you that it gets pretty dark there for a while. Some notes: - All the locations are real. I think somebody already said it, but it was shot in 24+ countries over 4 years - Most, if not all of Alexandria's lines were improvised. She and Pace were given the outline of each scene and went from there. And yes, she's phenomenal. - A lot of behind the scenes/making of footage is available right on YouTube. Just search for 'The Fall (2006) behind the scenes'. Thank you so much for watching, and again, I'm so glad you liked it ❤️

Thanks so much Clare! The behind the scenes is fascinating and I'm so happy this was on the channel today

OMG this is one of my favorite films of all time! I see more with each rewatch.

Let me put in a plug for Tarsem’s other films as well: The Cell is a pretty disturbing sci-fi thriller about trying to catch a serial killer; and Mirror Mirror I loved. It’s a genuinely sweet and funny take on Snow White. Also I really enjoyed his TV show Emerald City which has a cyberpunkish take on The Wizard of Oz. Also for The Fall and The Cell he worked with Japanese artist Eiko Ishioka for costumes and production design. You can find books of her work and it’s all pretty amazing. She also did costumes and sets for Coppola’s Dracula.

Sorry for another comment but I love this film so much….. A recommendation for Lee Pace as a leading man—Miss Petigrew Lives for a Day with Amy Adams and Frances McDormand.

I will be doing my deep dive today! What a stunning achievement from everyone involved. I really think more people should know about this movie. Definitely gunna do my part in singing its praises!! Thank you so much Clare!

That's actually insane. I need to read more about how this got financed. It's sad to think that something like this will never get made today. No studio would take a gamble on something as ambitious and artistic as this film. What an absolute masterpiece.

Miss Pettigrew is so good! Funny and touching and one of the best "day in the life" movies I've ever seen.
