The actor who played Alma's father is William Russ, who embodies the phrase "Hey, it's THAT guy!" He's been a guest actor in just about every tv series of the past 40 years, and also had supporting roles in about thirty movies. Kids from the 90s will remember him best as Alan Matthews, the dad in the sitcom "Boy Meets World."

He is definitely one of "THAT guy"s. He has a HUGE number of acting credits. I was pretty amused to see he has a 20 episode arc on The Young & The Restless pretty late in hi career. I guess the man just likes to work.

You may recall Alma mentioned she married her husband so her father's debts would be paid off. This is not his first attempt at exploiting his daughter for financial gain.

Ah! I forgot that detail! So, maybe her father isn't as rich as we were assuming, so leeching off Alma might be exactly what he is here for.

"Spit out, you don't have to swallow that." Brilliant performance and also that in a way that was kind of like a therapy, and also didn't want the girl to "take it in."
