The Inedible Mattman!

A bunch of things happened in this episode that I love, but I'm going to break convention here and say while I love the burgeoning friendship between Rory and Paris, the healing of Lorelai and Emily, my favorite moment in this episode ... was the introduction of TOM! The expansion of the Stars Hollow denizens is my favorite thing in this show. Not saying you see Tom ever again, but I like how we have a new person that makes the town feel more filled out. He's the contractor who does all the building work? BRILLIANT! Now we know who is involved into the upgrades to the town (when there are some). Like knowing that anytime there's some new festival it's probably run by Taylor Dosey, here we have a lynch pin of small town living. Seriously, I wanna live in Stars Hollow.

Stars Hollow does feel like a well-developed, lived-in town (Not easy to pull off), and I would love to live there. Lorelai's house would be fine. It's fantastic.
