Heather

Great episode, and, not for nothing, the introduction of the fruit fly guy!

Heather

To your point at the beginning about Bartlet and the Middle East: I think that storyline was meant to echo Bill Clinton and the Camp David Summit. It would have hit differently back in the day.

Honestly, I’m not really sure why Babish objected to Toby’s attorney being in the Oval for the firing. There isn’t much she can do to stop it, and it lends support to the idea that everything is above board.

C.J. objected to that, not Oliver Babish. Actually, Oliver did the exact same thing (demanding to be there when the President was going to fire Toby) to the President's face. But his wish was granted (rightfully, as WH Lead counsel)

Jim Miller

I am still, after 20+ years, not 100% convinced that Toby did it.

See, I'm a fan of the 'theory' that Brock actually found out from his brother at one point in the past, so Toby didn't actively leak it right now, but also didn't want his brother or family drug through the mud. So he's being fall guy. Which is also part of why you have such emphasis on the scene where he repeatedly refuses to say where he got the information from. LIke maybe Brock knew about it, then came to Toby to confirm it before releasing it, since the brother was no longer around? or something like that? I don't know, anything that makes it not entirely toby just makes more sense and feels better. Toby is my guy!

I would love to know Ed and Larry’s full names too, just saying. I like how we see so many other storylines, it just shows that the world keeps turning even as something so huge is going on in the Roosevelt Room. I think this is my favourite shot episode of the whole series run.

Michael Bennett

The campaign took a backseat in this episode for sure, but they did establish that they've been stuck 9 points down for a while now, and Ned and others had to go because they're not major league players. They've got their work cut out for them in the coming episodes.

Weird Magic

Probably 3 scenes in this one that outshine so many scenes in so many other shows. This type of episode is what makes West Wing soooooo good. Originally airing on October 23, 2005, 'Here Today' is Episode 5 of Season 7 of The West Wing. It is the 138th episode overall and has an IMDB rating of 8.5, placing it as the #7 ranked episode of this season and #33 out of all the episodes shown so far.

Balazs Foldes

Mr. Frost is built up to an interesting character. and I love his creepy analyst archetype. It's a pitty, though, that the show does not seem to be able to make much use of him. A bit of a missed opportunity.

Youtalkingtome

If that's all we are getting of him, it's a shame. Also, OF COURSE he was going to be creepy and ask Kate out for coffee.
