You actually do have all the information you need to work out what happened to Angel at the end (or at least why it happened) buuuuut I'mma let you sit and stew with it! There is SO MUCH you guys talked about here that I want to bring up but it would be super spoilery, and I don't just want to do a block of rot13 text, so I'm just going to write them down and bring them up as and when they're relevant. I'm so excited for the next few episodes, one of my favourite arcs of the whole show :D

Love that angel woke up naked, seeming to be in so much intense pain, and yet when he stumbles out the door he's fully clothes, like with a coat and everything 😂 Also, the actor who plays the judge is Brian Thompson, who you might know from...buffy the vampire slayer. He also played the vampire Luke in the first 2 episodes of the series!

This episode establishes that there is a spectrum of evil among vampires and demons. It's not clear yet whether there is any free will involved in how evil any particular vampire is, but it's clear that some are more evil than others.
