I love the parallels between these two episodes — at their parties, Schmidt and Cece both have freak-outs about not being able to care for the other and their best friends have to pick them back up and remind them of their worth. Also, each episode had a song (Roar and Return of the Mack) that they called back to in a slow-motion ‘fight’ scene lol. I also think these episodes did a good job showing how Cece and Schmidt are made for each other but also how Nick and Jess are — Jess and Schmidt are both highly neurotic, stubborn overachievers and Cece and Nick are the laid back partiers (at least at the beginning of their friendships) who remind them not to push so hard and take life less seriously. It reminds you why these people are friends, but also why these two duos fell for each other Also, I think you guys will love Aly’s character even more starting now
