A tribue to Kenny Loggins.

For me, it’s The Way We Were because the movie isn’t very good and the song does a better job of capturing the mood they’re trying to establish than the movie itself.

The deal is that if they watch Flashdance, they have to watch Full Monty next as a companion piece! Pleasepleaseplease

This is Spinal Tap should be on that poll given all of the original "music" that the fake band wrote- but assume you have both watched these along with "A Mighty Wind", "Best in Show" and "Waiting for Guffman"....if NOT then ALL of these should be in your queue

You can watch the opening scene of Blade to get the rave mix of New Order's Confusion and then turn the film off....

I chose Against All Odds- mediocre movie- great song....

Romeo Must Die! Such a good movie and song for Try Again (RIP Aaliyah). Great performance by Jet Li too.

Do they still do pop music tie-ins like this anymore? I was born in 88 so my nostalgia playlist has songs like Take Me There, Independent Woman, Lady Marmalade, and of course, Try Again. But I'm too old and out of touch to know if things like that still happen. I hope so!

I recently described the 2001 version of lady Marmalade by saying that the 2025 equivalent would be if Meghan thee Stallion, Doechii, Sabrina Carpenter, and Billie Eilish all made a cover of We Didn't Start the Fire as a movie tie-in for Mickey 17 😂

My favorite song written for a movie is "Breath of Life" by Florence and the Machine but the movie, 'Snow White and the Huntsman," isn't great. However it is noteworthy since it was the last film Bob Hoskins made & he and Ian McShane play 2 of the dwarves.

Wait....are we voting to have the movie watched? Or is this just a fun poll? If it's about the songs, I'd vote one way......if it's about the movie, I'd vote another way! (PS: Hot take: I prefer Kenny Loggins' theme for Caddyshack over the one for Footloose! :P )
