That meeting of Jon and Daenerys is one of my favorite scene. When I re-watch season 7, I start from here every time. "This is Jon Snow............. ........... (A few minutes later) and must be said in the same voice as in SpongeBob SquarePants) ........... He's King in the North!" Jokes aside, I just love how Daenerys thinks she's the only one worth anything, and then Davos gets the story right back to the similarities between Jon and her. That's most probably why she's not incarcerating them right up front. Tyrion would've tried to stop it, but he didn't need to intervene.

Yes, generally speaking, when a character's death is NOT shown, we have to assume that they're not dead. But there's quite a finality in the way Cersei plans the death of her ennemies. Do you think Septa Unella (Hannah Waddingham's character) is still alive? Neither do I. So for all we know, the daughter is now a rotting corpse in front of her mother, both chained and the mother being forced fed to make sure she sees all of it. i.e.: You can let this one go.

Pilou Asbaek (Euron) plays a crazy murderous pirate in Apple's Foundation. He obviously has a knack for it! 🤣

Yeah, I thought I remembered this season being good. :D This episode is full of LONG scenes that are given lots of time to breathe. The writing is tight, and they don't rush through the dialogue, and it's all hard hitting stuff. Jon and Tyrion meeting in Season 1 and going to the wall together pays off so well here. If not for that seemingly random meeting, Jon and Dany couldn't work together. Tyrion's advice is perfect, give him something that's worth nothing to you and everything to him. I think they meant for Bran to creep Sansa out, but they really creeped the audience out so much with that line about the dress. It's obviously not how it sounds, he's just trying to convince her of his powers, but yeesh. People have been talking about that one for years. HOW SATISFYING WAS SER JORAH, oh my god. "I read the books, and followed the instructions." HAH! Sam really showed the archmaester who he is. The taking of Casterly Rock was really cool with Tyrion doing the voiceover, that was just a really slick way to do that. Really sad that this is the last of Diana Rigg, but she goes out like a freaking boss. More greatness to come!

Jon clearly needs to start amassing some titles. How about Slayer of White Walkers, Savior of the Free Folk. Defender of the Living. The Undying. The Victorious Bastard?

So many great points here! My take on them: - Yes the season is pretty good up to now (and still has some amazing scenes yet to come) I've rewatched already the next episode (I will be on vacation next week so I won't be able to see Joe's reaction), I already have some nits to pick. Amazing episode, but some unanswerable questions. - I never saw anything else than Bran trying to prove Sansa about his powers. - The payoffs from earlier seasons are exactly what a long running show will give us, and Tyrion's time with Jon at the wall is absolutely mandatory for this to work. - The attack of Casterly Rock is done in the Mission Impossible way (showing it not working/gettingcaught/killed, and then we see what REALLY happens)

Damn. That's heavy. We just spent so much time with the characters I thought that maybe we'd get another scene or two. Cersei is cold lol
