Great reaction guys! To clarify a couple of points without spoilers, the way a tie election works is each state gets a single vote in the House vote for President, and the first to win 26 states (half plus one) is the winner. It doesn’t mean if Democrats win the House, the Democrat would win. If Selena won Rhode Island, and it had one representative from each party, the state deadlocks. If she won South Dakota but the other party won the sole House seat, they might vote for O’Brien. If Democrats won the house by 3, but won every house seat in California, they only needed half plus one to vote for Selena in California, so they could be seriously down seats elsewhere. Traditionally, Republicans control more states than Democrats. That said, in the Veep universe, we don’t hear the traditional party labels, so who knows. I’m not spoiling anything to come, but this was my reaction watching this episode for the first time. Tom cannot become President and make Selena his Veep. I said at the time it’s either a mistake, or this universe has different rules. The House selects the President as described, and the Senate votes for Veep. Whoever gets the most votes in the Senate is the Vice President. If the House hasn’t finished electing a President, or if the President had a medical procedure, or his daughter got kidnapped, the next in line becomes Acting President. Tom can’t name a Vice President in this scenario because he is the Vice President, acting as President, just like Harris couldn’t have nominated a Vice President in the middle of Biden’s colonoscopy. She was already the VP.

Selina cribbing MLK's "I Have Been to the Mountaintop" speech- a speech he gave the night before he died that was about him believing an end to segregation was coming but knowing he wouldn't live to see it- and turning it into being about a white woman achieving her personal ambition is so (hilariously) cringe.

If Tom is elected in the Senate, but the House is unable to get anyone to 26 votes by Jan20, the VP assumes the Presidency. Tom would then be able to nominate his own Veep (Selena) for Senate and House confirmation. Hence him asking her if she wanted it. It's totally possible.

That moment when she goes into Amy's arms.....I get goosebumps, I'm so happy you caught how telling that was. I had completely forgotten about that until it happened. What a brilliant choice, whoever thought of that. That says everything, one of the most moving moments of the entire series for me. PS: I seem to remember in one of those talk show appearances they were asked who their favorite guest stars were, and if memory serves me right, Julia's pick was the actress who plays Karen. (I remember Matt Walsh's favorite was Sally Phillips, who plays the Finnish ambassador) Fantastic reactions to a fantastic season!
