Jess is totally crashing out and that’s just how she does it, by getting a little all over the place and trying too hard. Unfortunately, that’s the direction the writers chose for her. I’ll admit, she annoyed me the first time I watched the show, but the more I rewatch it, the more I get her. She’s always so positive and always did things the "right way", but now, all of her close friends are getting married, something she really wanted for herself, and she’s suddenly realizing she still has feelings for an ex she lives with, who’s now seriously dating someone else. Remember that we start the show with her ending a 6 year relationship while Cece would date a guy every month and never wanted to settle. So yeah, she’s spiraling a bit. lol She probably thought she would be in a different place right now. I'm 34 and I honestly thought I’d have kids and a family by now. I try to stay positive too, but never know what wedding or baby shower invite will be the one that makes me crash like Jess lol

I wouldn't say she's "annoying" but it gets pretty close sometimes. I totally get why the writers are taking her in this direction, after all it's her show and they should be long gaming an arc for her character. Sometimes she just needs to chill!
