Winterfell

Agreed that season 5 is the weakest (the Sand sisters, and the rise of the Sparrows). Season 8 is going downhill, but not right away. There's a lot of fan service to come (which I love myself), but the quality is not up to par. The new intro is great.... really take your time to look at it precisely, it's very telling!

Sam: "Why are you out here?" Bran: "I'm waiting for an old friend..." Well.... 1st time Bran and Jaimie are face-to-face... since the time his "old friend" pushed him out the window in S01E01! Now that Jaimie arrived in Winterfell, minus a Lannister army, could be quite interesting the follow-up, no?

I love the new intro, and as I've said before, I think the last two seasons are amazing, despite some flaws. Joe, you really don't need to apologize for actually enjoying these episodes just because others haven't. It's a remarkable series overall with some impressive moments yet to come.

Euron is a son of a b!tch, but he's the right level of cocky for Cersei! She can try to control him in any way possible, and that's one she's wiling to use.

I think that Theon's arc is so interesting, and good for Yara to recognize that he's on a redeeming path and needs to be in Winterfell to amend his "Stark" side.

And I also agree that Joe shouldn't have to apologize for enjoying the ride up to now. I really liked Season 7 (except the things that I brought up), and the show is still really enjoyable! We'll have this platform to exchange our views later on!

Lots of callbacks to the very first episode here. I like how they opened with a kid climbing a tree to watch the queen ride into Winterfell (even playing the same music from S1E1) and ended with Bran and Jaime meeting.

The new intro is great, I love how much more detail we get. Right away, in the first few seconds you can tell Winter has Come. There aren't as many locations to cover because everyone has finally come back together. As usual for these last two seasons, they covered a ton of ground here. Lots of big reunions (especially that last one!). Jon rides a dragon. Sam finds out about his family, and tells Jon about his family. One of the most interesting bits is Tyrion. He IS one of the cleverest men in the world... so how could he have bought Cersei's promise and sold it to the North?
