I know we promised our next show would be Band of Brothers a while back, but given the interest, we are going to move into season one of The Newsroom next week in The West Wing's place. We will still be doing Band of Brothers soon (Deadwood and The Wire are both almost done, so it will go in one of those slots before we settle on a longer show). We have talked to many people about The Newsroom, and the consensus seems to be that season one is worth a watch on the channel, but the other two seasons are passable. So, we will likely just do that one season. We have so many other shows suggested and voted on by you wonderful people, so we will add one of those following The Newsroom. Thanks again so much for being here!

I remember y'all said Andor is coming a while back, but just in case this convinces you to give it one of those slots, it won Best Writing at the Emmys last night! (And it should have won Best Drama, IMO.)

Very funny that you think you'll be able to stop at one season, but looking forward to it nonetheless. I also thought the show got stronger as it went on and haven't heard the bad wrap so if you have any room at all to do it, and Studio 60, please, please consider doing the whole lot!

Can you do The Night Manager just 6 episodes, stella cast, great story.

I'm thrilled to hear the Newsroom is following the West Wing! Please do the full series. It does have some tonal shifts - just like West Wing did post-Sorkin - in the later seasons but still absolutely worth watching and the character dynamics and coverage of stories is strong in Season 2. I didn't love Season 3 but I find it still worth watching! They're not that long so you could definitely get the full series in.

I’m so sad that I don’t have more time to watch! I keep trying to carve out time for more, but the prestige TV and the fantastic movies keep coming. How am I supposed to fit it all in? The FOMO is overwhelming!

I was so happy that Andor won best writing. It deserves to win awards and i hope their Emmy success convinces more people to watch it. It’s such an important and relevant story.

I think the Newsroom is a good choice given the current state of news media. I enjoyed all three seasons of the show personally although I think it did have some issues that meant it didn’t match the quality of The West Wing.

Also, as a side note, how lucky are we to have so many amazing shows still to choose from and to look forward to?

Finally someone reacts to The Newsroom! I haven't been able to find anyone else with a reaction.

Larger reaction channels seems to stay away from anything politically polarizing for an audience, which is why no one else will touch The West Wing or The Newsroom. We don't mind the smoke. :)

Soooo happy you're doing The Newsroom!!! It's a perfect follow up to TWW. You're gonna love it!

Here's a recommendation for a great "post-TWW Sorkin movie": The American President. Its a bit of a political skewed rom com... it was actually released before TWW, and has some familiar faces, and not just from TWW!

So, I just watched the opening scene of the Newsroom and am sold, see you guys next week!
