I don't think that was the first time ever Christopher physically showed up for Rory. I don't believe they have said for certain what has happened in the past.

Not much to say about this one except, man it would be hard to grow up with Mrs. Kim. Clearly she loves Lane but the levels of oppression and control are unreal.

Great bounce back from last week's dud. This episode made me realize that we really don't get many Lorelei/Luke plotlines anymore. Their chemistry is so good it makes all their scenes so fun. Sorry Twilight guy but I don't think the chemistry is quite there. I feel so bad for Lane. It's like she was still holding some sort of hope that if she played it smart enough she could have some freedom to date who she wants. By the end she's like the bride who just married a man she doesn't know, trapped.

Happily no Francie this week. I feel bad for that actress she has been cast multiple times as over the top characters that usually were not necessary to the overall plot to the show she was joining. The writer last week was a producer who has as part of his contract on shows that he gets to write a few episodes. His production skills are better than his writing ones.

I think most of those fights from last week's ep weren't to be taken too seriously indeed. Like the Sookie/Jackson one seemed more like slapstick comedy.

People already pointed at that Lane's character and family life really based on true exprerience from Helen Pai, one of the producers and writers of this show. Don't look up her wikipedia page just yet though ! I will just say she is Korean-American and was raised in an Adventist household, just like Lane. We'll go back to that "backstage" anecdote later eventually ;)
